Day two at Watches and Wonders made one thing clear: the most interesting brands are not always trying to win the same game.
@vacheronconstantin has nothing to prove as a watchmaker, but it is still working to close the gap with their Holy Trinity peers.
@tudorwatch has definitely emerged from the shadow of Rolex. The question is whether the Monarch gives the brand a fresher answer than simply giving us more Black Bays.
@hautlence is one of the most interesting appointments of the day. The Kubera marks a real shift in direction - in design, in price, and in intent. It is still wildly experimental, but there is a clear effort to make the brand more accessible without losing what makes it distinct.
And then there is @nomos_glashuette, which keeps building momentum by understanding exactly what a lot of people want right now: great design, smart proportions, and real value.
That was the real thread today: different brands, different audiences, different answers.
