BEAUTIFUL NOISE — Finding Harmony in the Chaos Introducing Beautiful Noise, a new collection built from fragments — faces, flowers, typography, textures, shapes and imperfections all colliding together. There’s no real plan when I start these pieces. I work instinctively, adding, removing, covering and breaking things apart until somehow the chaos begins to make sense. I love that moment when completely unrelated elements suddenly connect and become something new. Beautiful Noise is about that balance between disorder and harmony. Nothing needs to be perfect. Sometimes the mistakes, the rough edges and the unexpected combinations are what give a piece its energy. This is the beginning of a new collection, and I’m really enjoying where it’s taking me. Welcome to Beautiful Noise. #BeautifulNoise #DigitalCollage #ContemporaryCollage #MixedMediaArt #DavidHopkinsArt

Collage is the best. You get to reuse old material and create something new. No studio or complicated art supplies necessary. Comment “inspired” for a link to the masterclass or “mini” for a link to the introductory class. #contemporarycollage #analogcollage #abstractartist #mixedmediaartist #sketchbooktour #sketchbookcollage

Recorded a process video! I had no plans for this piece. Just started cutting. #analogcollage #processvideo #pnwcollagecollective

SIMPLE WORK. Doesn’t mean it’s simple to do, but what it does mean is that it offers a sense of peace, clarity, calmness and a boldness. This is a vibe that many people like in their home decor at the moment and why not? Life is busy, let’s have some quiet moments.

Thousands of tiny pieces. Countless hours. One unmistakable visual language. What appears to be an explosion of color and pattern is actually a meticulous exploration of transformation, repetition, and the beauty of materials that have already lived a life. My work begins with discarded papers—vintage books, maps, handwritten notes, and other remnants of an increasingly digital world. Through thousands of hand-punched circles, I transform these fragments of the past into contemporary works that invite closer examination. From a distance, the compositions are bold, vibrant, and rhythmic. Up close, they reveal layers of history, texture, and unexpected discoveries. Every circle is intentional. Every imperfection is human. And every piece tells a story beyond what first meets the eye. I’m not simply creating something beautiful. I’m preserving pieces of a disappearing analog world and giving them new meaning. For collectors and galleries drawn to contemporary art that balances striking visual impact with materiality, process, and narrative, I invite you to explore my work. What is revealed matters as much as what remains hidden. Layers of antique papers, partially veiled, allowing memory to remain. Révéler n’est pas toujours montrer. Certaines matières gagnent en présence lorsqu’elles disparaissent partiellement sous une nouvelle couche. #ContemporaryCollage #MixedMediaArt #ContemporaryArt#guillaumepelloux #guillaumepellouxcollages

Working on shape and color right now. Using paint and collage on some more long skinny pieces. I wasn’t sure where to go next so I decided to pull out some old work and see if I could find some ideas to jump off of. That’s why the collage post cards are on the table. It’s a way to see what elements I seem to find myself returning to and thinking how I can move things a little more. I really do love juxtaposing shapes and collage pieces and layering in paint. The big learning this go around is how much I like adding a few pieces that are transparent. Also, always remembering to make bigger simple shapes. It’s amazing how many times I continue to revisit the same lessons!! 😆 Swimming swimming….keep on swimming… #mixedmedia #contemporarycollage #artanddesign #collageandpaint #cutpapercollage
