Super sesh with @rich_coupland yesterday, working on headgame - no better place for that than @rockstarclimbingswindon 🫣. Totally smashed it. Onsighted this big balls 7a and worked to the penultimate move of a scary 7b 🤙
What’s you’re favourite bloc on the new set? @soakesy with a demo of one of the new blocs, next weeks reset is The North Peak!
I really enjoyed this black tag @climbinghut_ep I'm not a psychologist but it's definitely a massive part of climbing. I see a lot of climbers so focused on if they can do a particular colour tag or grade that they won't try the next colour or grade up. This hinders progression. I understand that every venue has different ways of grading but for the purpose of this video we will concentrate on Climbing Huts version. Climbing Hut has a three grade cross over and climbers will want to get all the green circuit before even think about attempting the next colour grade. For example: white V1-V3 overlaps with green V2-V4 and Orange V3-V5. The colour of the climbs are guides and should be used as just that. Every climber has different strengths and weaknesses and this includes the setters. If you don't try something then you never will know if it's achievable. Trying is the first step of progression. I'm not saying if you climb VB then try a black tag V7. However, if you are getting the majority of whites V1-V3 then we should be greens and oranges too. We can only climb what is In front of us. Climbing is a funny sport, we find the hardest thing we can do but look for the easiest solution. If this sounds like you then feel free to reach out or comment.
Can finally hold onto crimps 🤌 🔴🏷️ @climbercollectivepenrith #bouldering #lasportiva #chalk #climber #climbercollectivepenrith
Outdated ⏳️ Old 🦕 Too hard 💪🏻 - just some ways you could describe this board! After several decades helping to push standards in Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 we have decided things need to change. The steepness 🤮 The Crimps 🤮 The wooden holds 🤮 all need to go 🔥🔥🔥 We are making it all into a big slab with 100's of Macros, No-tex and volumes. We are turning this place from a miserable training venue designed for the fading minority of outdoor climbers into a brightly colored soft play area for the masses. 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️ Attached cafe with £17 iced coffee coming soon 👀 😜 Love you all, James
