Your lower belly is not broken. It is just waiting to be activated.
The stomach vacuum is one of the most underrated moves a postpartum mama can do. It trains your transverse abdominis — the deep core muscle that acts like a natural corset — and it helps restore the connection your body lost during pregnancy.
No crunches. No impact. Just breath and intention.
Do 10 reps and hold each one for 5 seconds. That is it.
This one move done consistently will do more for your belly than a hundred sit-ups ever could.

This one move shrunk my waist.
I am not exaggerating when I say stomach vacuums changed the way my core looks and feels.
I started doing them every morning on an empty stomach and here is what happened:
1. My waist got smaller. Not from cardio. Not from crunches. From learning how to actually engage the deep muscle underneath the fat.
2. My abs got more defined. The muscle was always there. I just had to train the layer beneath it to pull everything in and hold it.
3. My core got stronger in a way I could feel. Not just in workouts but picking up my kids, standing taller, feeling more in control of my body.
Here is how to start:
Do them in the morning before you eat anything. Exhale all your air out, pull your belly button toward your spine, and hold it. Start with 5 holds for 5 seconds and work your way up to 10 holds for 10 seconds.
Bonus: do a second round at night before bed. That is when I started seeing the real difference.
This is not a quick fix. It is a daily discipline. But the results are real and they are visible.

📣As a 42yo Mom, I do a mix of strength training and light cardio as my fitness routine, but still struggled with bloating and loose lower belly that tends to protrude. And yes, I do try to have a good balance diet. Still struggled with bigger lower belly.
That is until I started learning and practicing Stomach Vacuum! This exercise is superior for your core.
1️⃣ Rebuild deep core strength – Targets the transverse abdominis (your natural “corset”) that weakens after pregnancies.
2️⃣ Flatter, tighter midsection – Helps pull the belly in from the inside out. Seriously this was life changing!
3️⃣ Better posture + back support – Stronger deep core = less back strain from busy mom life.

Stomach Vacuums strengthen the deep core (TVA), which helps pull your waist in. But like any ab exercise or workout, if your nutrition isn’t dialed in and you’re not consistent, you won’t see much change!
For best results: Repeat 5-10 holds, for each hold 10-30 seconds and do this 2-3 x a week🔥

Doing stomach vacuums for over a year now and let me tell you.. it actually works. 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Stomach vacuums trains your transverse abdominus which are the inner core muscles. They can improve your posture, help with your digestion and create a more controlled midsection.
How to do it:
(in the morning on an empty stomach)
1. Take a few deep breaths (inhale through nose, exhale through mouth)
2. Exhale so there is no air left in your stomach
3. Engage your core and do a pelvic tilt
4. Pull your belly button in towards your spine as much as you can without inhaling (imagine to pull your belly button up like a zipper)
5. You should be able to still breathe normal (it can be difficult but it needs practice)
6. Hold the vacuum for 10-30 seconds
7. Relax and repeat for 3-5
Once you mastered it you can do stomach everytime and everywhere sometimes I even do random stomach vacuums while driving or brushing my teeth 😂

🔥 Stomach Vacuums = Deep Core Control 🔥
Stomach vacuums target your transverse abdominis — aka your built-in corset 👗✨
This is your deep core muscle that wraps around your midsection and helps tighten + stabilize your waist.
How to do it:
💨 Fully exhale
🧲 Pull your belly button back toward your spine
⏱ Hold 10–20 seconds
🐢 Release slowly with control
Repeat 3–5 rounds.
Best times to do them:
