A new upscale Chinese restaurant has just landed in Markham with live entertainment such as magic shows, exotic animals, and more ๐Ÿ™Œ. They are currently reservation only from 5pm to 12 am, but theyโ€™ll be hosting their grand opening on March 29 and will be open 11:30 am to 2 am daily March 30 onwards. To enjoy the same shows we did (fire dance, LED light dance, magic show, aerial acrobats, and animal performances) visit 6-10 pm from Friday to Sunday. Live music and dance performances will still be available 6-10 pm Monday to Thursday. After 10 pm, there will be a DJ set daily and keep in mind the bar is closed before 5 pm daily, but dining and music will still be available. This is Number One at ๐Ÿ“ 3760 Hwy 7. Will you be going? Memories of Hong Kong โค๏ธ I've been wanting to visit @almaygil 's gorgeous new restaurant for a while, and I took advantage of a day off to treat myself to brunch and enjoy their elevated take on classic Hong Kong dishes. The cold HK milk tea in a flask is some of the best I've had in the city - it was so smooth, creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness. I was also impressed with the pandan kaya-stuffed French Toast. They use a lot of egg to make the batter super crunchy, and the pandan kaya custard is made in-house for maximum freshness. I'm so obsessed! The sandos may not be strictly HK-inspired, but they are this restaurant's original claim to fame (just google their Egg Sando and you'll recognze it right away). I chose the Avocado Breakfast Sando, which combined creamy avo, runny overeasy eggs, and a crispy potato rosti on a brioche bun. I've never eaten a sandwich this fast in my life - it was so so delicious!! Did I eat two entrees for brunch? Yup, and I have no regrets. I also got a hojicha cookie to go, and that was the most delightful afternoon treat - the rice krispies in the cookie added such a delightful crunchy texture! If you're looking for a sun-filled green space serving up delish food, this is the spot! P.S.
