Add to your Colorado Bucket List! 🏔️ 📌Save + send to who you’re going with! @merrypeople first ever sandals, the Lochie sandal, are the perfect addition to your weekend adventures as they are: - waterproof - super comfortable - great to walk around town in and hike in 🥾 Things to do in📍Creede: - Explore the town- although small, it is very charming with great local spots! - @sparekegbrewerks was great, loved the peanut butter porter and that they are dog friendly inside 🐾 - @creedecoffeeonthefly was a super cute coffee shop with outdoor patio. Loved their Amethyst latte ☕️ - Dispersed camping- there are many great spots overlooking the town or close nearby 🏕️ - Hiking- many trails for amazing views 🏔️ - ATVs- many people ride side by sides and ATVs here - North Clear Creek Falls overlook- beautiful waterfall not far from the parking lot and is w/c accessible! #colorado #explorecolorado #coloradohiddengem #hikinggear #sandals #creede #creedecolorado

Now is a great time to start planning your summer trip to Creede. And these waterfalls belong on your list! 🏔️ 📍Phoenix Park Waterfalls - above Phoenix Park is considered one of the most beautiful in the Creede area. The falls are reached by taking a 2.2 mile hike or 4x4 vehicle. Travel up East Willow Creek Rd about 4.5 miles and the trailhead is located in the first switchback. The last 1/2 mile is only open to foot traffic. 📍South Clear Creek Falls - an interesting side trip off the Silver Thread Scenic Byway. About an equal distance between Creede and Lake City you’ll look for the Silver Thread Campground and there is a short 900 ft walk to the falls. 📍North Clear Creek Falls - the most photographed waterfall in Colorado! Just off SH 149 near the summit of Spring Creek Pass. This impressive waterfall drops more than a hundred feet into Willow Canyon and is viewable from a nice, fenced observation area just off of Highway 149. The observation area is well appointed and makes a nice place to stop and rest. There’s a new restroom, picnic areas, plenty of paved parking and a handicap-accessible trail. 📍BONUS! We also love Copper Creek Falls a lesser-known waterfall that can only be reached by high-clearance 4x4 vehicles. The drive is about 20 miles and the road gets more difficult the closer you get to the falls. Because what’s more Colorado than running through the mountains with a donkey? 🤷‍♀️🐴 EmJ and I jumped into the Donkey Dash in Creede yesterday, and it was exactly as wild and chaotic as it sounds. Kicks, giggles, and a whole lot of stubborn joy. We did the mini dash this year, but are hoping to register in time for the main race next year!
