Syrian-American singer Lora Mouna stepped into the world of off-off-Broadway for a special performance that came out of the Columbia Encampment movement. Set inside La MaMa @lamamaetc Experimental Theatre Club, a historic East Village space known for championing experimental voices since 1961 (), the play unfolded as something intimate, raw, and deeply human This production of ألف ليلة وليلة (The Thousand and One Nights) by @ghinafawazz reclaims that tale as a call to action. A bitter king, consumed by vengeance, marries a new bride each night only to have her executed at dawn, until the brilliant and courageous Scheherazade steps forward. For a thousand and one nights, she weaves a tapestry of tales, each granting her another dawn. ✨ Lora Mouna is an incredible singer whose work blend classical training and indie sensibility. You can catch her perform on: March 28 at @youngethels March 30th at @berlin.undernyc May 16th at @alphavillebk

War has returned to Lebanon. At Théâtre Le Monnot, most performances have been cancelled. When the stage goes silent, the income disappears — but the salaries, commitments, and daily costs remain. Today, the theatre can only survive a few more weeks. Yet we refuse to turn out the lights. Le Monnot is more than a theatre. It is a space where artists create, where people meet beyond divisions, and where culture remains an act of peace in the heart of Beirut. Help us keep the stage lights on. Every contribution keeps this space alive. Go Fund me Link in Bio #SupportTheArts #TheatreMonnot #Beirut #CulturalResistance #Lemonnot

Performing *Mensonge Blanc* during war feels surreal. Every word hits closer. Every silence feels heavier. And yet, the team chooses to be on stage — because beyond war, this play carries something stronger: a message of hope. Because culture is not a luxury in difficult times — it is a form of resilience. MENSONGE BLANC كذبة بيضا Tickets Antoine and at the door call 70626200 Un énorme mensonge. In #Tyre, South Lebanon, the National Theater opened its doors to displaced families, providing temporary shelter for those forced to leave their homes due to Israeli aggression. Kassem Istanbuli, the founder and director of the Lebanese National Theater in the city of Tyre, affirmed to Al Mayadeen that “This theater today has opened its heart, and we’re living a deeply human moment.” “We’re all like one family here in this theater, united by a single cause,” he said, saluting the “fighters and revolutionaries” on #Lebanon’s frontlines. @kassemistanbouli #SouthLebanon #LebanonUnderAttack
