What is a club fitting actually like? I love golf. I love the numbers, the technology and the grind to get better. I had a brilliant few hours with @alfrater trying out the new @pxguk irons at their Esher store. I hit hundreds of balls, learned a lot, had a proper laugh, tried @marcopenge’s new irons and lost a glove on the train back. Seriously in love with the wedges ❤️ Rocking the @galvingreen & @footjoyeurope #golf #golfswing

The other day I was watching a video from MyGolfSpy where they introduced me to Titleist’s 3 D’s of custom fitting (Distance, Dispersion & Descent Angle - sometimes called Land Angle). Now I speak about these three things a LOT in my iron reviews but I’ve never heard it put so simply so wanted to share it with you all, just in case you’re about to go into your custom fitting! Don’t get sold JUST on distance! You need to be able to stop the golf ball and you want tight dispersion to hit more greens and lower those scores! Oh and for clarity - when I talk about 50° descent angle being steep with a PW, I’m talking in the context of my swing speed and typical delivery where I’m usually closer to 48°!
