I look forward to this one every year! 9Elm in Danvers is probably my favorite restaurant. I say it is, although it’s very hard to pick one out of the many great places I’ve been too. But 9Elm without a doubt is a restaurant that comes to mind when people ask “where’s your favorite restaurant?”. The roasted duck alone is enough to put this place in the ring with the best restaurants on anyone’s list. Whether it’s Best of Boston, James Beard, Michelin, Esquire, etc.. 9Elm can hang with anyone. If I wasn’t a food blogger who is constantly on the hunt for new places to review, I’d be coming here once a month. It’s tough for me to circle back to places. I have a love for finding new restaurants to try. But this is how you’ll know I really love a place, when I’m making it a point to come back. Anything you order at 9Elm, you’ll love. I can pretty much promise that. I rave about 9Elm like I get a salary from them. But it’s quite the opposite. I don’t even get a free soft drink when I’m here and I don’t expect to just because I have a big following. 9Elm doesn’t even have social media, they were booked solid before I stepped foot in here, why would I expect a free meal? It’s funny to me when people leave comments thinking I’ve got paid for certain places. I do get paid from some restaurants to come in and give them the promo, but the thing is, you’ll never know who’s paid me. I’ve given bad reviews to people who’ve paid me. I’ll always keep it honest. It doesn’t matter if the food is free or I get paid or if I’m paying full price. I talk about 9Elm the way I do because I truly love it and they deserve all the recognition in the world. Give it a try for yourself, and let them know who sent you!
