⚔️ Medieval Times: Where Legends Were Forged ⚔️
Long before smartphones and skyscrapers, the world was shaped by castles, kingdoms, and courageous warriors. Medieval times were an era of knights in shining armor, powerful kings and queens, towering stone castles, and epic battles fought for honor, land, and legacy.
From the clash of swords on the battlefield to the quiet wisdom of monks writing manuscripts by candlelight, this period helped build the foundations of the modern world. Castles stood tall as symbols of strength, while villages worked together through farming, craftsmanship, and faith.
It was a time where loyalty meant everything, bravery defined a man, and stories of dragons, quests, and heroic knights inspired generations.
Even centuries later, the spirit of the medieval age still lives on in history, architecture, literature, and the timeless idea that courage and honor never go out of style.
If you lived in medieval times… would you be a knight, a king, a craftsman, or an explorer? 🏰⚔️👑
I wouldn’t last a second with that breeze to the backside 🏰 💨

What Living in a Medieval Castle Was Really Like 🏰🤢
Medieval castles look romantic in movies and video games, but real castle life in the Middle Ages was far less glamorous. Winters were cold enough to freeze water indoors and privacy barely existed.
Castles were designed for defense, not comfort. History remembers the grandeur of medieval castles, but daily life inside them was often dirty, cold, crowded, and uncomfortable.

How People Used the Toilet in Medieval Castles 🏰
Medieval castles didn’t have plumbing like today. Instead, many castles had stone toilets called garderobes built into the walls. Waste dropped through a vertical shaft down the outside of the castle or into a pit below. In some cases it even fell into the moat.
Standing under a castle wall in the Middle Ages was probably not the safest place to be.
