Artisan Jiaul Kazi creates abundant fan leaves with couture-level techniques of hand-cutting, commissioned by Giorgio Armani for upholstery across a selection of furniture for Armani Casa at Salone del Mobile 2025.
In ‘Jungle’, tropical foliage is depicted with bullion thread, which artisans at our atelier in India cut entirely by hand, fitting the individually appliquéd shape of every frond to create a masterfully high-dimensional effect.
The hand-embroidered textiles created in celebration of Armani Casa’s 25th anniversary, and the 50th anniversary of the Giorgio Armani brand use over 50 individual materials including sequins, metallic bullion, glass beads, silk thread, wool sateen and silk organza.

A breathtaking, bespoke iteration of our ‘Plum Blossom’ design, created for Isabel Mayfair is hand-embroidered upon a richly hued cotton velvet ground: creating an alluring display of opulence and depth.
Golden moonlight appears to dance upon its blossom-laden, elegant branches, brought to life through intricate hand-embroidery where silk and metallic threads are layered with delicate glass beads which intertwine in luminous harmony.

“Tell me, are these papers, like actual paper?” I ask Claud Cecil Gurney, founder, de Gournay @degournay, to reconfirm what I was comprehending.
The objet de curiosité in question is a series of three hand-painted wallpapers borne out of a collaboration between de Gournay and Vikram Goyal @vikramgoyalstudio, titled Modern Myth Makers.
Looking at the collection, I discovered a celebration of possibility — a space where reality expands into imagination. It’s in this spirit that the collaboration shines, turning paper into the semblance of metal and storytelling into an art that bridges realms, countries and cultures.

After 10 days of travelling : pure inspiration, full days of walking, meeting brilliant minds, design research, sourcing exquisite materials, craftsmanship, and unique pieces for our clients across two cities, Paris and London, It’s so clear to me how experience deepens vision.
Each year, my journey in this industry becomes more precise, more intuitive, more meaningful and no less passionate, knowing not only what to look for, but where to find it, and why it matters.
London, my second city, revealed once again its rare ability to honour tradition while constantly reinventing it.
If you opened my camera roll {London edition } you would step into an extraordinary world with @degournay :
an intimate dinner at Isabelle Mayfair, celebrating London as a global design destination;
an immersive afternoon where hand-painted porcelain meets hand-embroidered wallpapers, where every piece carries the trace of the artisan’s hand, time, and heritage.
Their showroom, transformed for Design Destination London, became a living atelier, a dialogue between East and West, between centuries-old techniques and contemporary sensibility.
Porcelain not as decoration, but as storytelling.
Wallpaper not as surface, as incredible craft and emotion.
I’ve been selecting De Gournay for 25 years. I not only love their wallpaper but the the family and passionate team behind it.
I used to pass by their showroom on my way to college, mesmerised even at 18 by its beauty.
If you wait until the end or this reel , you can see me peeking through one of the passages inside of this same showroom on Old Church Street (proof that time flies, but true magic only expands with age… and I still go into doors that intrigue my curiosity without asking :). )
Alongside these moments, I presented our Winchester country home project, revisited my favourite streets, and immersed myself in the work of showrooms, artists, galleries, craftsmen, and British interior brands I deeply admire.

‘Dipping Rose’, a new hand-painted and hand-embroidered wallpaper depicting delicately trailing blossoms, is underway in our studio for the 2024 edition of Dubai’s Downton Design, the leading showcase in the Middle East for contemporary design. We look forward to debuting a layered and fully immersive experience at the fair, on view from 6-9 November.
