Doing death work has changed how I take care of myself. The small moments matter more now.
What’s something simple that helps you reconnect with life? #deathdoula #selfcare #life #reconnect #death
Who have I loved? How have I loved? Was I loved?
The intimacy in death work is alchemizing. 🫀

I am more than my death work. Yet again, everything I do in life leads me back to death 💫
🔅 I am a lover of waterfalls. In fact, I travel the world to see them.
🔅 I collect rings and most of them are from my elders and ancestors.
🔅 I am a morning person. Give me a cup of coffee and a sunrise and I am ready for the day.
🔅 I lift weights regularly as part of my mental health awareness.
Are you a death worker and want to share something about your life beyond your work? I’d love to hear from you!
Follow and join me in the #deathworkandbeyond exploration through the month of January 🚀
A huge influence on my Death work as an Ancient Death Doula is decolonization of my Spirituality & beliefs and I've grown incredibly fond of my indigenous Yaqui Roots full of mysticism, Shamanism, folklore and curandismo.
Death Guidance & Support is in my blood.
If you're interested in this kind of Ancient Death Doulaship, I'm teaching a Death Doula 101 Workshop on Ancient Death Caregiving & Spiritual Doulaship
August, Friday the 13th @ 5:30pm PT.
REGISTRATION in BIO 🖤💀✨

I first listened to this interview with @rachaelrice on @anthrodidact’s podcast last year and this clip has stuck with me. I had never heard anyone (and haven’t heard anyone since) talk about death work as a disability justice issue. My mind was blown 🤯 It makes total sense, and she is so right.
If we’re lucky, we’ll all live long enough to become disabled before we die. Taking care of a dying person is taking care of a disabled person. So of course disability justice needs to be at the center of our death work. It seems so simple, and yet it’s never mentioned!
Thank you @rachaelrice for this reframing of my death work. I have always felt that my death work is a form of activism, and now I can name that one facet of that activism is disability justice. My work feels more connected to the larger movements for justice now.
Video of my dog for the algorithm so hopefully more people hear these wise words 🙏
So blessed to be able to step away from being a lawyer, have a beautiful baby, stay home with her and take her to mass 🤍
Faith is something I have really had to work on and continue to work on through the death of my son Archie and 3 miscarriages 💔
But I’m trying to get to daily mass more, and this video is meant to show that mass with a child isn’t perfect but it’s about showing up and doing the best you can, as God sees it all
Hi I’m Ashleigh, an Australian mom living in Chicago and chasing faith hope and miracles through grief, counting my blessings and living joyfully and faithfully 🤍

This can REALLY hurt.
If you inherit $30 million and your friends are all middle class, you might want to pay for a lot of stuff.
Most people I work with as clients at Sunnybranch are generous and community minded.
BUT
When you take on that role, dynamics can change.
You can start to feel like your friends see you as a piggybank, more than a friend.
This is especially true if you didn’t volunteer for the role, but your friends unilaterally decided that they shouldn’t have to pay anymore.
This is an incredibly difficult thing to navigate as a younger inheritor.
It’s also one of the primary reasons most people don’t share news about large inheritances with their friends.
But there is another way.
And I’ve got everything you need to know right here.
Want to know more about how to navigate money and friendships after getting a large inheritance?
Comment FRIEND to grab the episode of Heir Necessities you don’t want to miss:
“What to do when you’re the rich friend (overcoming social isolation as a younger inheritor)”
It’s got some 🔥 takes.

In my university those who cheat somehow pass so easily and those who work hard get left behind.
But I know that God is with me and He will get me through this.🤍
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4
