Playing my rad 1990 SL1 Eerie Dess Swirl. Took me 12 humbling tries to get this clean. @mattsotelo666 🤘🫡

I think I finally found that throat punch tone that I have been looking for to use on my main recordings. With a few more minor tweaks, I think I'll pretty much have what I've been after. This is through my little monster Randall Diavlo RD1H and Egnater Armageddon 4x12 cab with a MXR KFK 10 band. The tones that are to this day my all-time favorites are: Katalepsy - Autopsychosis🤘😠🤘, Inveracity - Circle of Perversion, Severed Savior - Brutality Is Law, Decrepit Birth - ...And Time Begins, Suffocation - Pierced From Within, Gorgasm - Stabwound Intercourse, Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back To Life, Sepultura - Beneath The Remains...I'm sure I could name a couple handfuls more, but those albums and tones just have it for me! I've always been trying to locate a death metal tone derived from those albums/influences. I think I found one that I'm happy with, once and for all! A couple of these chugs are riffs from songs that I wrote in the past, but most is just me noodling and enjoying that sledgehammer sound coming out of my rig. Nothing more satisfying than a heavily distorted chunky asf guitar🤘🤘#brutaldeathmetal #deathmetal #highgain #metalguitartone #tonechaser #guitartone #guitarplaying #guitarist #guitarists #guitaristsofinstagram #metalguitarist #randallamps #mxrpedals #bcrich

@decrepitbirth is a huge influence for me. I heard Diminishing Between Worlds as a teenager and it stuck with me ever since. I'm probably not alone in that as I can hear their influence in many tech death bands. Which Decrepit Birth album is your favorite?

Decrepit Birth − Prelude to the Apocalypse (Guitar Cover)
every riff is a slight variation of the one that came before, and the riffs are very technical🔥

Decrepit Birth - The Infestation (2003)
23 years later this whole album still gives me the creeps. Scooped mids and ultimate brutality. One of my biggest influences growing up in the west coast bdm scene.
What's your favorite track?

We played in Ventura Theater some days ago and another cool detail besides what I mention in the video about that day, is when I came off stage from playing with DEEDS OF FLESH, I met Matt Sotelo of Decrepit Birth! Great memories in this venue 🤘
