It's a clichรฉ for a reason โจ๐ฅ๐
Was it overpriced? A little bit, not by much. Was it worth it? Yes. The charm, the quality of food, the portion size, the actually friendly service and the beauty and history of this place all made this one of the most perfect lunch spots. It's also nicely situated close to a lot of places we wanted to visit!
There was a small queue which I was irritated by but actually, I got a spot to sit within 10 minutes! So that was alright (besides, there is a queue for every damn thing in Paris anyway!).
Cafe de Flore (you probably recognise this place from @emilyinparis ๐) has a long and fabulous history. It opened somewhere in the 1880s and had notable thinkers, creatives and artists visit it.
The art deco style, the people watching, the delicious food and general ambience really made this place one of my favourite lunch places in Paris! I usually am weary of clichรฉs and over-hyped cafes but this place held so much mystery for me and had the smallest queue out of all the other lunch places in the area and I was like alright, why not?! If it was good enough for the likes of Picasso, Descartes and Givenchy, I guess it's good enough for me ๐
So yeah, I would totally recommend this place, unless the queue is more than 30 minutes... Then maybe not ๐ฑ but you know, it might be of similar waiting time at other places. It definitely depends on which days and dates you visit Paris and what time you're there!
