He’s going through a very tough time recently, but he’s right, we all need a good laugh to ease our pain. I hope he’s getting enough support and love from his family and friends to find a reason to smile again. Maybe not now, but one day. Stay strong and be well, Marty; we love you. Martin Short has made the world laugh for decades. Today he is facing the thing every parent fears. When I hear stories like this, I do not hear celebrity news. I hear a father whose world just broke. I lost my 14 year old son Perry at sea. The Coast Guard searched for seven days. He was never found. People talk about “processing” loss. Sometimes there is nothing to process. Sometimes the work is simpler. Stay. One breath. One hour. One day. If you have lost someone you love, write their name in the comments and tell me one thing about them the world should know. I read every single one. Follow if grief has touched your life. You are not alone here.

Happy 76th birthday to the one and only Marty Short. Not much time goes by without me thinking of rhe powerhouse 1984 season of SNL. So much of it lives rent free in my head. And this is one of those moments. Lifestyles of the Relatives of The Rich and Famous. With Martin as NYC hot dog vendor Nelson Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn's 3rd maternal cousin. There is so much to love, from the first words of Harry Shearer's intro to the way Martin holds the umbrella at the end. #reels #trending #comedy #funny
