@sabanci_university 2003 mezunu Prof. Dr. Ayşe Kıvılcım Coşkun’un kurucuları arasında yer aldığı Emerald AI, TIME dergisinin “TIME100 En Etkili Şirketler 2026” listesine girdi.
Yapay zekâ sistemlerinin en kritik sorunlarından biri olan yüksek enerji tüketimi ve elektrik şebekesi kısıtlarına çözüm geliştiren Emerald AI; Nvidia, SpaceX, Netflix, Boeing, IBM, Huawei, Dell Technologies ve Toyota gibi dünya devleriyle aynı listede yer aldı.
Boston Üniversitesi Elektrik ve Bilgisayar Mühendisliği Profesörü olan Prof. Dr. Coşkun, Emerald AI’da Kurucu Ortak ve Chief Scientist olarak görev yapıyor. Şirketin geliştirdiği Emerald AI Conductor platformu, veri merkezlerinin güç tüketimini elektrik şebekesindeki anlık talebe göre esnek biçimde yönetiyor.
Böylece yapay zekâ modellerinin eğitimi, çıkarımı ve ince ayarı gibi yüksek hesaplama gerektiren süreçlerde enerji verimliliği ve şebeke güvenilirliği artırılıyor.
Emerald AI, Mart 2026’da NVIDIA ile stratejik ortaklık kurduğunu da duyurdu. NVIDIA Kurucusu ve CEO’su Jensen Huang, yapay zekâ tesislerinin “zeka çağının motorları” olduğunu belirterek, Emerald AI ile performans, verimlilik ve şebekeye uyumlu bir yapay zekâ geleceği için çalıştıklarını ifade etti.
Prof. Dr. Coşkun, Sabancı Üniversitesi’nden mezuniyetinin ardından Sun Microsystems’te çalıştı; doktorasını University of California, San Diego’da Bilgisayar Bilimleri ve Mühendisliği alanında tamamladı. Enerji verimli sistem tasarımı ve yapay zekâ tabanlı yöntemler alanındaki çalışmalarıyla birçok ödüle layık görülen Coşkun, Mart 2026’da Sabancı Üniversitesi Distinguished Research Fellowship Programı’na da katıldı.
