Hidden far off the beaten path, this abandoned Palace in Portugal feels like a place straight out of a Movie Set. Every step up the crumbling staircase feels like stepping deeper into a forgotten story, waiting to be uncovered. Nature has taken over the place and is covering nearly every spot.
Exploring this abandoned beauty felt like stepping right into an adventure or fantasy story. Thankfully there were no traps or dragons around 🏚🏰

💡 Thuy Tien Water Park is located in Huong Thuy town, Hue city, Vietnam. The water park opened in 2004 and closed in 2006 due to financial problems. Thuy Tien Water Park was designed and built by Ho Thuy Tien – one of the biggest investors in tourism in Hue at that time. The park’s centerpiece was a dragon-shaped statue that measured 15 meters tall and 20 meters long.

I've "found" my way into my fair share of deserted and forbidden sites - but this Soviet-era relic on a mountain in Bulgaria is my favorite and one I’ve tried for a long time to get to.
It was like summer camp for communist-era leaders of the Soviet Union and has been sealed off for decades.
It took an hour to finally find a crack we could pry and squeeze ourselves into. We climbed down a rusted ladder, waded through water, and eventually found ourself in the main chamber. It was breathtaking. The street graffiti covering the communist propaganda from Marx, Lenin, Stalin, and others was an incredible site to see.
Perched on top of a mountain with its UFO shape, it looks like it's straight out of a Bond movie.
This place was on my list of things I really wanted to see for a long time… What are some of your favorite deserted/abandoned sites that you’ve either seen or really want to go see?
