During Design Days 2026, the Designtex showroom was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and shared inspiration. Visitors explored a life-sized material palette shaped by texture, color, and craftsmanship, previewed upcoming launches, and engaged with the ideas behind ‘With Feeling.’

Designtex began with a simple idea: materials can solve problems.
Our very first product launched in 1962 for Mies van der Rohe and Philip Johnson’s iconic Seagram Building on Park Avenue in New York City. A custom knit drapery brought the architects’ vision to life while creating a better experience for the people inside. That moment set the course for everything that followed.

Kapitza is a London-based art and design studio founded by sisters Petra and Nicole Kapitza, known for their focus on creative placemaking and color wayfinding and crafting public art installations that foster belonging, enhance well-being, and invite community engagement.

The original scale drawing for Frank Lloyd Wright’s epic Hillside Theater Curtain is the starting point for custom murals, textiles and glass film. Reimagined to play to the strengths and opportunities of digital printing, this special release honors Wright’s forward-thinking ethos.
Working with the Designtex team, you can tailor the artwork to each project—selecting the crop, scale, color palette, and substrate across murals, wallcoverings, textiles, and glass film—to create site-specific installations.
