A day in my life as a DevOps Engineer at Deloitte 💻☁️ Thinking about starting a career in DevOps? 👩🏻‍💻 Comment “ROADMAP” and I’ll share the DevOps Engineer roadmap with you! 🚀 Save this reel if you’re planning to build a career in Cloud & DevOps. 🤍 DevOps Engineer, DevOps career, DevOps roadmap, Cloud Engineer, Cloud Computing, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Cloud career, IT career, tech career, software engineer, engineering career, DevOps jobs, Cloud jobs, tech jobs in India, Deloitte, life of a DevOps engineer, day in my life, corporate life, IT professional, engineering student #devops #devopsengineer #deloitte #office
When I first got into DevOps, I thought the job was basically: Deploy → Automate → Monitor → Done. ✅ Then I actually started working. And I realised the hardest part wasn’t learning Docker, Kubernetes or Cloud. It was figuring out what the hell went wrong when something broke. 🔥 A pipeline fails. An application suddenly stops deploying. A pod keeps restarting. Infrastructure behaves differently than expected. And nobody gives you a step-by-step tutorial. You have to investigate: 🔍 Logs 📊 Metrics ⚙️ Configuration 🔗 Dependencies 🌐 Networking 📝 Recent changes And eventually… connect the dots. That’s what I didn’t understand about DevOps before joining. The job isn’t about knowing every tool. It’s about becoming really good at figuring things out. 🧠 👇 Starting DevOps and feeling completely lost? Tell me what’s confusing you. I’ll cover the most common questions in my next reels. Follow along we’ll figure it out together. 🚀 #DevOps #DevOpsEngineer #DevSecOps #DevOpsCareer #TechCareer CloudComputing Kubernetes CICD CloudEngineer TechLife Fresherjobs

Nobody feels 100% ready for their first DevOps job. Here’s the truth , you don’t need to know everything, you just need to know enough to start learning on the job. I remember waiting for months, thinking I needed to master every AWS service, every Kubernetes concept, every tool on my resume before applying. That wasted time I didn’t need to waste. Here’s your checklist - signs you’re actually ready to apply: ✅ You’re comfortable in the Linux terminal without Googling every single command ✅ You can explain the difference between a container and a VM in one sentence ✅ You’ve deployed something - even a small app, not just watched a tutorial ✅ You know basic Git : branching, merge conflicts, pull requests ✅ You understand how DNS, load balancers, and firewalls connect to each other ✅ You’ve broken something in a project and actually debugged it yourself ✅ You can read a YAML file without panicking ✅ You know what CI/CD means beyond the buzzword, you’ve built even one basic pipeline ✅ You’re not waiting to “know everything” you’re applying while still learning Companies hiring freshers for DevOps roles aren’t expecting senior-level knowledge. They’re looking for curiosity, basic hands-on comfort, and the ability to debug calmly instead of panicking. If you’ve deployed one real project, broken something and fixed it yourself, and you can hold a conversation about containers vs VMs - you are more ready than you think. Stop waiting for “ready.” Start applying while you’re still learning. That’s literally how everyone in this field got their first job, including me. Save this if you needed the push today 📌 Which one of these do you still need to work on? AWS ka bill doguna ho gaya? Instance chhota karne se nahi ghatega. Ye 6 cheez chupke se kha rahi hain. Pehle 3 galtiyan: 1. Total bill dekhna, service-wise breakdown na kholna 2. Seedha instance size chhota kar dena 3. Dev aur staging account ko ginti me hi na lena Ab wo 6: 1/6 NAT Gateway . . . . . . . hourly + per GB processed 2/6 Unattached EBS + snapshot . instance gaya, disk reh gayi 3/6 Public IPv4 . . . . . . . . idle IP par bhi charge 4/6 Cross-AZ data transfer . . . app aur DB alag zone me 5/6 CloudWatch Logs . . . . . . default retention = Never 6/6 Dev/staging 24x7 ON . . . . schedule hi nahi laga NAT Gateway sabse chupa hua kharcha hai. Ispe do charge lagte hain - ek ghante ka, aur dusra har GB data ka jo isse guzarta hai. Private subnet se jo bhi bahar jaata hai - package download, ECR pull, S3 call - sab ginta hai. S3 aur DynamoDB ke liye VPC Gateway Endpoint laga do, wo traffic NAT se hatt jaayega. Public IPv4 wala change bahut logon ne miss kiya. Ab har public IPv4 address par charge lagta hai, chahe wo kisi instance se juda ho ya khali pada ho. Purane projects ki bhooli hui Elastic IPs release kar do. Cross-AZ transfer ka bill tab tak nahi dikhta jab tak traffic badhta nahi. App ek AZ me aur database dusre AZ me hai to har query ka data charge hota hai. HA ke liye multi-AZ chahiye, par read traffic same AZ me rakhne ki koshish karo. CloudWatch Logs ka default retention "Never expire" hota hai. Matlab 2 saal purane debug logs abhi bhi storage me hain aur bill me aa rahe hain. Har log group par retention set karo - 7, 14 ya 30 din. Comment me likho BILL - poori checklist DM me bhej dunga, free. If I had to learn DevOps again in 2026, this is exactly how I would do it. I wouldn't spend months just watching tutorials and jumping from one tool to another. Instead, I'd take ONE application and: Containerize it using Docker Automate deployments with CI/CD Deploy it to the cloud Secure the infrastructure and application Set up monitoring and logging Intentionally break things and troubleshoot them Because that's where the real learning happens. When something fails, you investigate, understand the root cause, fix it, and learn why it happened. You don't need to learn 20 tools separately before building something. Start with one application. Build it. Deploy it. Break it. Fix it. I've explained my complete approach in my latest YouTube video. Comment "DEVOPS" and I'll send you the full video link! #DevOps #LearnDevOps #DevOpsEngineer #Docker #CICD CloudComputing Terraform DevOpsProjects
i’m Server pe file bhejna tha. Log FTP setup kar rahe the. SFTP clients download kar rahe the. Ek command thi. Sab jaante the. Koi use nahi kar raha tha. — SCP — Secure Copy Protocol. SSH ke upar kaam karta hai. Matlab agar SSH se server access kar sakte ho — SCP bhi kaam karega. Alag tool nahi chahiye. — Most useful patterns: Local → Server: scp file.txt user@server_ip:/path/ Server → Local: scp user@server_ip:/path/file.txt ./ Directory: scp -r myfolder/ user@server_ip:/path/ Custom port: scp -P 2222 file.txt user@server_ip:/path/ (Capital P — common mistake) — Ye yaad rakho: scp ≠ cp cp = local machine pe copy. scp = network pe, SSH ke through. Dono alag hain. — Comment karo “SCP” 👇 Quick reference card DM mein. Free. Save karo — next time server pe file bhejna ho, command yaad nahi rahegi. 😅 — Jay Porwal ✌️ @its.jayporwal #Linux #SCP #LinuxCommands #DevOps #DevOpsEngineer SSH ServerManagement LinuxAdmin DevOpsBeginners JayPorwal BuildWithJay TechCareer CloudComputing LinuxServer SSHCommands FileTransfer
Senior devs ko laga woh AI se 20% fast hain. Stopwatch ne bola — 19% SLOW. 👇 METR ki 2025 study: experienced open-source developers, apne hi codebase pe. Feeling fast, reality slow. Time gaya kahan? Prompt likhne, output padhne, aur AI ki galti fix karne mein. DevOps mein yeh double khatarnaak hai: Code mein AI ki galti → test fail Terraform mein AI ki galti → outage ya security hole Ek rule bana lo: AI ka Terraform output kabhi seedha apply mat karo. terraform plan line by line padho — especially destroy aur IAM changes. AI likhe. Verify tum karo. Part 6: freshers ke liye yeh sabse bura time hai… ya best? Sach bolna — kabhi AI ka code bina padhe merge kiya hai? 😅 #terraform #devops #aicoding #infrastructureascode #devopsengineer codereview cloudengineer trainwithshubham devopsindia aitools

10 services and 10 load balancers? Your AWS bill says no. Heads up: the answer in this Reel is from the candidate, Hussain, in a live mock interview. It's his answer, not a model answer. His take: A Kubernetes Service of type LoadBalancer creates a load balancer for every service. An Ingress controller routes traffic to all of them through one. What I'd add: On EKS, the AWS Load Balancer Controller turns an Ingress into one ALB, and IngressGroups let several Ingresses share it. Ingress also gives you TLS termination plus host and path routing in one place. Gateway API is its newer successor. Think you have a better answer? Drop it in the comments. I'll pin the best one.
