HERE👇 I’ll be honest, it’s been a really challenging season. Sometimes it feels like life is hitting me from all angles, between delays & setbacks at work but also just feeling overwhelmed by the never ending list of projects at our new place. Falling down the stairs & breaking my tooth probably didn’t help either.🤦🏻‍♀️ And it’s not that I’m not grateful—I am. But I also have moments where I just feel exhausted by it all. Like I’m working SO HARD but not always feeling like I’m getting anywhere. Have you ever felt that way? If so, there are a few things I keep reminding myself, over & over, that really help in the moments I feel most frustrated. I thought they might just help you too: 1️⃣ It’s so NORMAL to feel this way! You’re allowed to have moments & even days of frustration. And usually it’s a sign that you need to give yourself a little grace and do something kind for yourself. 2️⃣ The timeline is all in your head! Frustration is usually the result of unmet expectations, but often those expectations are due to an arbitrary timeline that might not actually be realistic. So extend the timeline. 3️⃣ Focus on what you can actually control! You can’t always control the outcome, but you can control what actions you take every day. You can’t control other people, but you can control how you respond. 4️⃣ Remember that there is beauty in the struggle! The greatest triumphs are the ones we have to fight the hardest for. Sometimes you need the bitter to taste the sweet. So keep going. Have faith that today’s struggle is preparing you for tomorrow’s victory.
