We are excited to unveil the Victorian Multicultural Commission Cultural Diversity Week tram as we count down to Cultural Diversity Week 2026.
Delivered in partnership with Yarra Trams and the Department of Transport and Planning, the tram will travel across Melbourne carrying the message that culture connects us all.
Watch as VMC Chairperson Vivienne Nguyen AM and VMC Director Kashif Bouns take a tour of the tram and reflect on the importance of celebrating the cultures, stories and communities that shape Victoria.
From 21 to 29 March, Cultural Diversity Week will bring people together across the state to celebrate connection, understanding and the strength of our diversity.
If you spot the tram around Melbourne, take a selfie and tag us using @multiculturevic and #CDW2026.

Harmony Week is a time for all Western Australians to experience, explore and appreciate WA’s wealth of cultural, religious and linguistic diversity 🌏
This is an important part of being an inclusive and cohesive community, where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
In the true Harmony Week spirit of unity, we worked with other WA Government agencies and culturally and linguistically diverse community associations to create this video and spread the message.
We hope you enjoy it! 🧡
“Victorians should get involved with Cultural Diversity Week because it’s such a happy week.”

Cultural Diversity Week is upon us and we are gearing up to celebrate and share in the diverse multiculturalism that makes Victoria so special! From March 21-29 @multiculturevic invite you to join in events across the state that welcome you to share in sand celebrate the many languages, traditions, foods, art forms and ancestries that collectively make our state the ultimate cultural melting pot.
I have learnt throughout my life and travels that it is through openness, curiosity and the exploration of our differences that we ultimately find out similarities.
You can start by heading down to the multicultural festival at @grazeland.melbourne next weekend where they have a whole weekend of food and entertainment for the whole family!
