💡 There’s more than one way to drag flick… Just because the ball doesn’t glide up and down the stick doesn’t mean it’s not a drag flick! The longer you drag the ball, the more power you generate! 💥 Come up too early, and you cut the drag short — losing both power and control. 🎯 Accuracy comes from the follow-through — imagine rolling the ball to the trapper with your hand. I don’t believe you can be a world class drag flicker with just raw power. You need deception and accuracy as well. Practice dragging the ball on different lines and combine that with accuracy. Dragging back is a really important skill for you to be confident in. It creates space, holds possession and opens up opportunities. Here are 3 skills to work on. 1. Simple drags back. 2. Drags back, adding in a look up and fake each drag. 3. Drags back, adding in a decision/movement. This decision/movement in a game would be a reaction to the opposition. It could be an another drag either side, a pass, a fake. Great to build up to! SAVE so you can give a go next time you hit the turf.
