✨💖🌈Three things I do to make performing easier:
1. 📥✅👗Costume bins with inventory lists - I have a labeled bin (or coat bag) for each of my designated acts. Within in each bin or bag is a printed itemized list of each costume piece for the act. When I get home from a gig and then again while packing for the next one, I will check that each item is present. This saves me from trying to remember, from memory, all of the items associated with an act.
2. 👕👕👕Standard uniform for before and after shows - I have a fairly standard uniform that I wear before and after shows. I find this helpful because I do not have to think about planning another outfit. Also, in terms of branding it can be helpful to have a fairly recognizable style - especially since my physical presentation can vary.
3. 💋💄🖌️An organized show kit – I finally bought a $30 makeup organizer box and took the time to set it up with everything I need for a show. It has made getting ready in a green room so much easier and far less stressful. I save time before and after shows because I no longer have to pack and unpack as many supplies—just restock as needed.
