🌊 RiversEdge Residents Move in + Parks Update 🎉 The first residents of @riversedgejax moved into their brand-new townhomes on April 28. Five additional units are available, varying in bedroom count and price, marking a significant step forward in the development’s progress. The residential properties are part of a much larger mixed-use project that will include retail and restaurants, office space, a hotel, a public marina and four acres of new riverfront park space. The Parks ⬇️ (Expected to open by late May) • Central Park, a riverfront park facing the St. Johns River, will feature a pavilion, amphitheater, adjacent plaza area, trees, and an art installation. It will be flanked by Northwest and Northeast parks. • Northwest Park will include durable synthetic turf, swings, a game table area, benches, and bike racks. • Northeast Park, also known as Fitness Park, will feature two playgrounds and a yoga lawn. • Marshfront Park, located on the east side of the development, will offer a winding path through native plants, an herb garden, and a synthetic lawn. Our riverfront has always been Jacksonville’s gathering place — a backdrop for memories, milestones, and moments that shaped our city. We are thrilled to celebrate the completion of this project. As a community we have watched this project turn from rendering to reality. 👏🏽🏙️ With the opening of @riverfrontplaza, we’re not replacing the history of what once was... we’re building on it. This new public space marks the start of an exciting wave of activation and activity coming to #DTJax. 🌳The new park system includes green space along the riverwalk, an interactive playground with ample shade, a splash pad, public restrooms, shell space for future cafe (RFP should be going live soon), 24-hour security, a gate system that closes the playground after dusk, and a new park office for the @jaxparkscoj team.
