This driver was jailed and banned from driving for more than five years after he admitted a charge of dangerous driving last year.
He tried to flee his vehicle after driving dangerously in Carlisle but was chased down, caught and arrested.
Cumbria Police’s dedicated Roads Policing Unit have officers targeting dangerous drivers 365 days a year.

We hiked the Cumbria Way last summer and this might be the best long-distance trail if you want to start your hiking career and long-distance hiking 😋
The Cumbria Way is a traverse and mini thru-hike of England’s Lake District, traditionally walked from Ulverston in the south to Carlisle in the north. Despite the Lake District being famous for its many fells (mountains) this is a relatively low-level route following tracks and paths along lake shores, heather-lined valleys, bubbling becks, and over picturesque passes 😍
The trail never gets too technical (as you can see in the video) and is very enjoyable. You can choose to camp on the campsites or book accommodation in the towns along the way.
Totally recommended for both beginner and experienced hikers for a great time on the trails 💚 it’s a perfect introduction to thru-hiking & long-distance hiking.

2️⃣ Coniston - Great Langdale 19.3km | 12 miles
3️⃣ Great Langdale - Rosthwaite 12 km | 7.5 mi
