On February 27, 2026, the BLP Bamenda team hosted an interactive Eco-Club session at Government Bilingual High School Bayelle-Nkwen, drawing over 50 enthusiastic members. The program highlighted proper waste management, the vital role of reforestation and afforestation, the dangers of deforestation, types/causes of environmental pollution, and how these issues intersect with human rights and peaceful community living, empowering students with practical knowledge to drive sustainable change. This impactful session advances BLP's mission to inspire 13,300+ youth across 24 schools in Cameroon and 15 in Sierra Leone, with 2,900+ saplings planted toward our 100-hectare restoration by 2028. Young people are ready to protect the environment. 🌍✨ From poems and songs to art and powerful speeches, their passion for nature was clear. 🎤🎨🎶 But one question remains… How do we truly involve them? Is engaging them only at school enough? Or should we create more spaces where they can actively shape environmental solutions? Imagine more school tours, environmental challenges, bootcamps, and even hackathons where young people can rethink how they interact with their environment in this era of technology. 💡📱 Because the truth is this: The passion is already there. The ideas are already there. These young people are ready to lead the way in protecting our environment.
