Expansion Speed: Rome took centuries to expand. The Mongols conquered Eurasia in less than 100 years.
Geographical Density: Rome ruled highly dense coastal hubs. Much of the Mongol territory consisted of sparsely populated steppes.
Imperial Longevity: The Roman administration built durable, centralized infrastructure. The Mongol Empire fractured quickly into four separate Khanates.

Watching that blue ink absolutely swallow the map of Eurasia in a matter of decades is honestly terrifying. It’s one thing to read about the Mongol conquests in textbooks, but seeing the sheer speed of their expansion visualized like this hits entirely different. 🏹
It all started around 1195 with Genghis Khan uniting the scattered nomadic tribes of the Khamag Mongol. By the early 1200s, that unstoppable momentum exploded outward. Whether it was under Genghis, Ögedei, Möngke, or Kublai Khan, the Mongol war machine just kept moving, crushing massive, long-standing dynasties and empires along the way.
By the time Kublai Khan established the Yuan Dynasty and the empire effectively functioned as vast connected realms—including the Golden Horde, Ilkhanate, and Chagatai Khanate—they had completely rewired the geopolitical DNA of the medieval world. Centuries of brutal warfare, nomadic strategy, and massive empire-building packed into a few seconds.

Turks are an important political identity of Eurasia. They first appeared at Inner Eurasian steppes and migrated to many various regions (such as Central Asia, West Asia, North Asia, and Eastern Europe.) and participated in many local civilizations there. It is not yet known when, where, and how the Turks formed as a collective identity. However, it is believed that Proto-Turkic people inhabited regions that supported a lifestyle consistent with the Eurasian equestrian pastoral nomadic culture.[1]
Türk was first used as a political identity in history during the Göktürk Khaganate period.[2] The old Turkic script was invented by Göktürks as well.[3] The ruling Ashina clan origins are disputed.[4]

Although there are debates about its inception, the history of the Turks is an important part of world history. The history of all people that emerged in Eurasia and North Africa has been affected by the movements of the Turks to some degree. Turks also played an important role in bringing Eastern cultures to the West and Western cultures to the East. Their own religion became the pioneer and defender of the foreign religions they adopted after Tengrism, and they helped their spread and development (Manichaeism, Judaism, Buddhism, Orthodox, Nestorian Christianity and Islam).

Pegunungan Himalaya terus tumbuh sekitar 5 mm per tahun.

🦄 Real-Life Unicorns Once Roamed the Earth!
Believe it or not, "unicorns" actually existed—but not the magical creatures from fairy tales. Around 29,000 years ago, a prehistoric animal known as the lived across parts of Eurasia.
This giant relative of modern rhinos stood about 6.5 feet (2 meters) tall at the shoulder, could weigh up to 4 tonnes, and is believed to have had a massive horn on its forehead. Unlike the graceful unicorns of legends, the Siberian Unicorn was a powerful, shaggy beast built for survival in harsh Ice Age environments.
Its discovery suggests that humans may have actually lived alongside these incredible animals, possibly inspiring some of the unicorn myths that survived for thousands of years. 🦏🦄❄️

*Eurasia Kinofest Film Festival | Sochi, Russia | June 13-19, 2026*
The Eurasia Kinofest Film Festival, held in Sochi, Russia from June 13-19, 2026, was an incredible opportunity to connect with filmmakers from over 52 countries, including Nigeria.
I am deeply grateful to the organizers for inviting representatives of Nigeria. As National President of the Association of Movie of Producers of Nigeria (AMP) , I am committed to seeking collaborations and bridging gaps so our members can access global platforms and cross-border projects.
I was honoured to make this trip to Sochi, Russia alongside Mr. Uche Agbo, National President of the Directors’ Guild of Nigeria, (DGN)and Dr. Ahmad Sarari, former President of Northern film association(MOPPAN) . Together, we represented Nigeria and the creative sector.
Despite the current situation in Russia, we were hosted safely and professionally in Sochi. We have returned home safe and inspired.
My sincere appreciation to Festival Director Sergey Novozhilov for outstanding hospitality, and to Dr. Joshua Orabiyi — our Nigerian-Russian bridge — for his invaluable support.
To every filmmaker we met during the roundtable discussions: the conversation has begun. Let’s keep the fire burning. Creativity knows no boundaries. What we need now is to bridge the gap and keep moving forward.
