Free art hiding in plain sight in NYC 👁️ Two massive 30-foot steel sculptures by artist @colbertcharlotte have popped up across Manhattan as part of NYC DOT Art. Part surreal, part reflective, and impossible to miss, the installations bring a little dreamlike energy to the city’s everyday streets. 👁️ ‘Where Angels Live’ — Meatpacking District @meatpackingny 📍14th Street Square (W 14th & 9th Ave) 🔵 ‘Dreamland Sirens’ — Flatiron NoMad @flatironny 📍Flatiron South Plaza (23rd St & Broadway) 🗓 On view March 10 – May 27 Because sometimes the best galleries in NYC… are the sidewalks. Coming to a neighborhood near you… This Spring I am excited to kickoff The Chicago Neighborhood Series where I will be aiming to do a utility box in every ward in Chicago. We are kicking the project off strong with 5 new neighborhoods across the city! Woo hoo! The goal is to bring a pop of color to everyone in our beautiful city and hopefully giving all not only a moment of joy and pause in their day but continuing to connect us through art. This series will also include a collectable trading card of that neighborhoods design that i’ll touch a bit more on very soon 👀. Want your neighborhood included in this series?
