Coconut run in our neighborhood, in my another home with @faraboutique 💚
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I live in India. Oh yes, India! It’s been 10 years now in a tiny sunny state called Goa.
Sunny, well… not right now. At the moment it’s monsoon season, which actually makes it the perfect time to escape to Europe and keep chasing our endless summer.
Come autumn we’ll be back, ready for a new season. That’s how life in Goa works — we don’t really count years, only seasons, from fall to spring. That’s the rhythm most expats follow here.
I first came as a tourist in 2013. In 2014 I returned for my first big trip through India. And later that same year I stayed.
Life here is intense. Sometimes overflowing. During the peak of the season, the energy is wild and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. What keeps us grounded is our little routine: driving to the nearest beach with a book, stopping by a local shack for a fresh coconut, or sitting on our balcony overlooking palms and rice fields, laughing and talking with friends over a glass of wine.
