Coffee Talk : What The Pho?! Based on actual events… Imagine I walk into an Italian restaurant and cause a fit because I want Lo Mein but keep pointing at the Spaghetti. 🙄. As someone who literally grew in the restaurant business, I conclude that stating “I’m in the industry” is something signature of a Karen101 course. We don’t say that. Period. I’ve also learned that no one is an expert in everything and acknowledging the vast identities in food culture is fundamental for growth. A personal narrative is not everyone’s reality…even when it comes to a bowl of noodle soup. There’s more to this story that didn’t fit in a 90 second reel. She was with her kids. She was in a huge hurry trying to grab a late lunch before their next appointment. Our server gave them Pocky treats because we love kids. FULL STORY HERE👇 My sister lives in Washington State, where apparently the shoplifting and brazen theft is completely out of control. Today she apparently had enough, and decided she wasn’t going to stand by and take it anymore. She whipped her car around, confronted the guy, got the stuff back, and returned it to the store like a total badass. NO FEAR! Hell hath no fury like a pissed off mama bear. Guess I’m not the only feisty one in the family! 😂 I had to share because courage like this deserves to be celebrated. There’s so much in our crazy world today that doesn’t make sense, and frankly, that just sucks. It only stops when we start dating to speak up.
