Good morning! It’s Hayley again from @loopbyloopstudio. Yesterday I shared a lot about the rug hooking process and how my work has changed through the years. This morning I am sharing my current body of work: large scale wall assemblages made from paper, paintings, hooked rugs, weaving, quilling and more.
This work is a true combination of my fiber and painting work. This work combines my love of fine, meditations craft processes and the intuitive act of collage.
Most of these pieces measure around 3x4 feet and larger. I love being able to transform recycled materials, old projects, and materials that would otherwise be discarded into these pieces. #fiberart #fiberartist #contemporaryfiberart #artisttakingoverfan #fiberartnow

Each stick tells its own story. Before I start stitching, I sit and look at the stick I’m going to use. Each one has a different shape and weight, and each of them needs something different. So for each artwork, I make a unique design and handpick my thread.
It’s my way to connect with nature. I love tactile things. Textures, organic shapes. Things that are real and therefore hold real beauty.
My art takes time and is detailed. It is entirely made by hand. I put my heart and soul into each of my Nesting artworks, and I always hope they’ll find a new home with a collector who connects with them.

Magnetic mounted fiber art installation 🧲✨
The work is made from layers of canvas and recycled textiles, painted with acrylic, and embroidered with free motion embroidery. I like to call it mixed fiber art ✨
I always get a ton of questions on the mounts when I post these.
The mounts are made by glueing magnets to stand off wall mounts and sewing magnets into the back of the piece. I use rare earth magnets so that they are strong enough to hold the weight of the finished artwork.
