A Pride Gestapo approached us and demanded we turn off our cameras and leave the pride festival in Baltimore.
The security guards approached us and their leader said that we were “unauthorized media.” The guard then demanded we “vacate the premises.” He seemed to be bluffing by claiming to have authority that he didn’t actually have in an attempt to intimidate us into compliance.
What the goon overlooked was that the event was being held on public property. Which meant anyone could attend and record.
The event organizers permit only gave them the privilege to set up temporary structures like tents, use amplified sound, and authorize venders to operate to sell things like hotdogs, not control who could and couldn’t attend. Denying individuals entrance would be discrimination, something these pridesters claim to care a lot about.
Why do people who use the first amendment for their own ends discount the constitutional rights of others?
A police encounter in Martinez, California unfolded when a Martinez Police Department officer approached citizens filming on a public sidewalk near a local refinery. 🚓📹
The group was recording from the sidewalk when the officer instructed them to keep their hands visible, asked about their tattoos, and questioned whether they belonged to a gang, stating the contact was for safety reasons. The citizens responded that the area had been peaceful before his arrival and noted they were not blocking traffic or committing any crime. 📍🏭
During the exchange the citizens cited California Penal Code 148(g), asserted their First Amendment right to record in public and Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable stops, and declined to leave the sidewalk. When the officer said they were free to go they remained in place and continued recording, pressing him on the nature of his employment until he acknowledged working for the public and provided his name and badge number. Another officer arrived as the filming continued. 🗣️⚖️
The interaction highlights ongoing questions about public recording rights, reasonable suspicion, and the boundaries of police contact on public property during First Amendment activity. 🇺🇸🔍
According to available information as of August 2026 the encounter ended without arrest or further formal action in this specific incident. 📋

In Florida, Kaitlin Bennett attended a left-wing rally to question activists on free speech, gender ideology, and constitutional rights. The confrontation escalated when one protester allegedly grabbed and destroyed Bennett’s sign in front of police officers. Moments later, law enforcement stepped in and arrested the individual, turning what began as a heated political exchange into a real-world reminder that political disagreements don’t excuse destroying someone else’s property.
The arrest quickly became one of the most discussed moments from the rally because it shifted the focus from politics to accountability. Supporters argued it demonstrated that everyone, regardless of ideology, is expected to follow the law when exercising their First Amendment rights. The clip also reignited debate over whether political protests are becoming more hostile toward opposing viewpoints and where the line between protest and criminal behavior should be drawn.
The footage continues circulating because it combines free speech, public protest, and law enforcement into a single viral moment. Whether people watched it for the political debate or the immediate arrest, the incident has remained part of the broader conversation about constitutional rights, public demonstrations, and accountability in today’s political climate.
Independent reporter Nick Shirley engaged with Utah Highway Patrol officers during a public demonstration in Salt Lake City, Utah. The officers explicitly confirmed that citizens have a clear constitutional right to film and speak freely in public spaces without unlawful interference. This interaction showcased law enforcement officers upholding constitutional guarantees while maintaining public safety during a contentious gathering.
This moment directly reflects fundamental Republican principles regarding the preservation of First Amendment freedoms and constitutional order. Conservative values emphasize that individual liberty and free speech must be protected against government overreach or mob suppression. By supporting law enforcement officers who respect constitutional limits, the video highlights a core conservative vision of law, order, and public accountability.
In broader American politics, protecting free expression and independent journalism remains a critical issue for conservative movements. Demonstrating how law enforcement respects individual rights reinforces trust between communities and local authorities across the country. Viewers see a clear example of how constitutional principles foster transparency and safeguard individual liberties in real-world situations.

Antifa agitators WENT BERSERK when I approached them in Washington DC on the 4th of July.
A crazed woman attempted to use an amplified sound device directly in my ear after I asked her husband why he is protesting Independence Day in America while being a British national. The police, ironically, the “first amendment communication team” then responded by telling me I had to leave and that I could not interact with the group.
Then, a protest organizer approached and harassed my cameraman in an attempt to stop us from videotaping the event. The police said he was doing nothing wrong.
Is the Washington DC police department emboldening these Antifa agitators?

A viral video from the Chicago suburbs appears to show an ICE agent aggressively confronting a person who was recording the agent’s vehicle from a public area. The agent repeatedly orders the individual to move away, raising concerns about whether the confrontation interfered with the filmer’s First Amendment right to document federal officers performing public duties.
The encounter has also drawn scrutiny over allegations that the vehicle’s license plate was concealed or altered. Illinois law generally prohibits obstructing or switching registration plates, including on vehicles used by federal personnel operating in the state. The footage has renewed calls for greater transparency and accountability during immigration-enforcement operations.

During a public school board hearing in Middleborough, Massachusetts, 12-year-old student Liam Morrison addressed administrators after being forced to remove his shirt at school. He recounted how school officials ordered him to remove a shirt reading "There are only two genders" before he could return to class. Liam pointed out that while the school actively promotes diversity posters and pride flags, his right to express a differing biological perspective was silenced.
This clip highlights the growing concern among conservative families regarding free speech and political bias within public school systems. Liam argues that school administrators applied a double standard by permitting certain cultural viewpoints while censoring his opposing beliefs. By invoking his First Amendment rights, his testimony reflects broader conservative efforts to protect student speech and prevent school districts from enforcing single-sided ideological standards.

Bodycam footage from a December 2017 police encounter in Tempe, Arizona captures a First Amendment discussion on a public sidewalk. 📹🇺🇸
Tempe Police responded to a noise complaint after Pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church used a megaphone while speaking on a public sidewalk during a protest. 🚔📍
During the interaction, officers requested identification. Durbin asked whether he was being arrested or charged with a crime and referenced Arizona law on the circumstances under which identification can be required. A supervisor later issued a verbal warning regarding the amplified sound. Durbin pointed to Tempe city code provisions that call for measurement with a calibrated sound level meter and declined the warning when no meter was used. 🗣️⚖️📄
The exchange centered on public recording, free speech on public property, identification requirements, and the application of local noise ordinances during a police encounter. 📜🔍

This clip captures the opening moments of an arrest that would later spark a major First Amendment debate in Colorado. In 2024, former Denver Reserve Police Officer Barry Zatkalik filmed an Adams County deputy he believed was speeding without lights or sirens. After asking for a supervisor, he continued recording from a distance before being arrested on obstruction charges — charges that were ultimately dismissed.
The story didn’t end there. Bodycam footage later revealed deputies questioning whether probable cause existed, and a supervisor even apologized to Zatkalik at the scene. His attorney argued the arrest violated his First Amendment rights, and Adams County agreed to pay $80,000 to settle the claim before any lawsuit was filed.
The case quickly went viral, fueling wider conversations about the public’s right to record police, the meaning of probable cause, and broader issues of police accountability. It also underscored how bodycam footage can serve as crucial evidence in reviewing controversial arrests.
