For some, it shows up as constant worry. For others, it looks like restlessness, irritability, avoidance, or shutting down. Anxiety can live in the body, thoughts, or behaviors, and it doesn’t always match what people expect.
All of it is valid, and all of it deserves care.

🧠 How does anxiety show up for you?
🌬️ Where do you feel it most, mind or body?
🧩 What helps you feel even a little calmer when it appears?

Anxiety isn’t just “overthinking” or
being dramatic.
It’s a physiological response — your
nervous system scanning for danger
and preparing your body to respond.
This can happen even when there is
no immediate threat, especially if your
system has learned to associate certain
situations, emotions, or environments
with past experiences.
Your body isn’t trying to sabotage you.
It’s trying to protect you — quickly,
automatically, and often without your
conscious awareness.
This is why anxiety can feel so intense
and hard to “logic away.”Because it’s not
coming from your thoughts first — it’s
coming from your body.
Understanding this changes the way
you respond to yourself.Less judgment.
More support.
Save this to come back to when anxiety
feels overwhelming.

You know, the kind of truth that is deeply helpful and also a little offensive when your brain is in spiral mode.
A few hard truths I’ve learned in over a decade as an anxiety therapist that the anxious girlies tend to argue with:
👉🏼You are allowed to disappoint people.
Because having a limit is not the same thing as doing something wrong.
Try this: say no with fewer words and notice the urge to overexplain without acting on it
👉🏼You are not behind.
That feeling is often anxiety showing up as urgency, not truth.
Try this: notice the thought popping up and name that anxiety is showing up. Notice and naming is the first step in healing
👉🏼Uncertainty is a normal part of life.
I know we HATE this. But peace is not found in guarantees. It is built in learning you can handle the unknown.
Try this: let one thing stay unresolved today without spiraling to solve it.
👉🏼There’s no such thing as a perfect choice. Most decisions are not right or wrong. They’re just choices made with the information you have right now.
Try this: ask, what feels most aligned with my values? instead of what if I make the wrong choice?
👉🏼Doing more will not create peace right now. Sometimes more action just gives anxiety more material to work with.
Try this: pause and ask, what do I actually need right now? Rest, food, action, sleep, connection? You get the just of it
👉🏼You are not responsible for everyone’s mood. You can be caring without making other people’s emotions your responsibility.
Try this: remind yourself, everyone is responsible for their own feelings.
👉🏼Stop investigating the vibe shift. Not every change in tone means something is wrong.
Try this: assuming everything is fine until someone lets you know it isn’t. Because more often than not, that’s the case
The answer is not in another self-help book.
Sometimes the next step isn’t learning more. It’s practicing what you already know.
Try this: pick one tool you already have and actually use it today.
Which one did you need to hear today?
When clients come to me overwhelmed with anxiety, we don’t start with “thinking positive.”
We start here:
First, getting the body out of fight or flight.
When your body is in a stress response, your brain is not thinking clearly (this is medically proven science, not a random claim). The part responsible for logic and reasoning literally shuts off during anxiety. So- trying to “figure out” what’s wrong in that state usually just makes it worse, leading to more and more anxious thoughts.
We calm the body first.
Then the mind can follow.
Second, understanding what’s actually happening.
Why does your chest tighten?
Why does your heart race?
Why won’t your brain shut off?
When you understand this is your system trying to protect you, not break you, the shame starts to fall away. And instead of “what’s wrong with me?” the question becomes “how do I work with this?”
Third, identifying your patterns.
When does it show up?
What triggers it?
What actually helps?
Because once you can see your patterns, you’re not stuck in the anxiety anymore.
You’re aware of it.
And awareness is where you begin regaining control.

✨Some of the ways we stay stuck in anxiety aren’t obvious. They feel like “being careful” or “thinking things through” but they keep the nervous system switched on.
Here are a few ways to gently shift those patterns:
• Notice when your mind jumps to the worst case and ask yourself, “What is also possible here?”
• When you catch yourself scanning for mistakes, bring your attention back to what is actually happening right now
• Replace all-or-nothing thinking with “this is hard and I can handle parts of it”
• If you’re living in the future, anchor into your body with a slow inhale and longer exhale
Small shifts like these help your system learn safety again.
If this resonates, support is here when you’re ready 🤍
Everything you’ve been given to ‘fix’ your anxiety isn’t built to actually end this. It’s built to keep you manageable.
Calm enough to get through the day, stable enough to not disrupt your life, but still checking your body, still overthinking every sensation, still living like something could go wrong at any second.
That’s why you’ve “done everything” and you’re still here. Not because you’re doing it wrong, but because you’ve been taught to respond to anxiety like it’s a problem that needs constant attention. You’ve been managing something your body only keeps producing because of how you’re responding to it.
I’ve had clients come in after years of therapy, medication, breathwork, all of it, and the common thread is always the same. They were trying so hard to feel better that they were reinforcing the exact loop keeping them stuck. Watching it, tracking it, calming it, fixing it. Feeding it attention every single day and calling it healing.
You don’t need a better way to manage it. You need to stop treating it like something that needs managing at all. Because the second your body stops interpreting those sensations as a problem, it stops sounding the alarm in the first place.
Most people won’t choose that though. Managing FEELS productive. It feels responsible. It feels like you’re doing something, even if it’s keeping you stuck in the same cycle year after year.
Every time you respond to it like it matters, you reinforce it. And that cost adds up in time, energy, and a life that keeps getting smaller without you realizing it.
You can keep trying to control it, or you can finally understand why it hasn’t worked. If you’re ready for that, comment RESET and I’ll send it to you.

What if anxiety isn’t the enemy… 👀
A lot of people try to get rid of anxiety as quickly as possible—
push it down, distract from it, make it go away.
But anxiety isn’t always something “bad.”
It can actually be information 🧠
It might be pointing to:
✨ something that feels unsafe or uncertain
✨ a boundary that needs attention
✨ a need that isn’t being met
✨ something your brain is trying to process
✨ or something else that might be important to you
The goal isn’t to eliminate anxiety—
sometimes it’s to understand what it’s trying to tell you 💭
I really believed the way out of anxiety was more control, more awareness, and more figuring it out.
And while all those things can help, they weren’t the full picture.
Because anxiety isn’t just mental. It’s something your body learns.
And once I understood that, things started to shift.

What you do need ↓
When you fully understand what anxiety is, why it happens and how to turn it off by communicating with your subconscious mind and nervous system, you can be free from anxiety for good.
And that’s exactly what we’ll be teaching in our newest FREE masterclass Anxiety Decoded! Just DM me the word “freedom” or check my bio to learn more.
Anxiety isn’t a flaw; it’s usually a part of you that’s working overtime to keep you safe. 🛡️
When we judge our anxiety or want it to go away, we’re essentially ignoring a part of us that’s terrified. Instead of pushing it away, try leaning in with these 5 phrases.
Healing begins when we stop fighting our internal protectors and start listening to what they’re actually afraid of.
Which of these feels most supportive for you today?
Notice how you feel after trying this - would love to hear what your experience is!

1. Your anxiety isn’t a personality trait, it’s a body that hasn’t felt safe yet.
2. You don’t need more discipline… you need the capacity to sit with yourself without spiralling.
3. “Just think positive” doesn’t work when your nervous system is in survival mode (be serious) and make space for the heavier emotions.
4. Healing isn’t about becoming this perfectly calm, unbothered version of you , it’s about feeling the full expansiveness of your emotions.
5. And if your success has started to feel heavier instead of safer…
that doesn’t mean you’re not cut out for it. It means no one ever taught your body how to hold it.
