Inspired by the lovely @acoupleofboardgamers we decided to add our own spin on “Games we’d have in our cafe” Two player games don’t have to be exclusively for two players! There are a lot of games out there that play very well at two players and we’ve featured a couple here that we love alongside some two player only games! Shoutout to @tubbsplaysgames for suggesting El Dorado as a new deck builder! We absolutely love it #boardgames #boardgamegeek #boardgamecommunity #twoplayergame #tabletopgames

I played Forage solo and it had a healing effect on me. The dice rolls that lead into puzzly combos is so satisfying, I wasn’t even mad I did as bad as I did. Rack ‘em up and let’s do it again! . . Thank you @flatoutgames for bringing this overview to life! I had a blast playing it! #games #boardgames #gamenight #gaming #tabletop Description from BGG: Forage is a puzzly tableau-building roll-and-write game for 1-6 players with gorgeous artwork by Beth Sobel! It is designed and developed by the team that brought you the Calico, Cascadia, and Point Salad series of games! Rules are simple: Roll the forage dice and reveal a unique journey tile each round. Choose a combination of dice and carry out one of the actions: exploring, storing, or gift-giving. As you carry out actions, you’ll earn bonuses that allow you to power up your future actions or make additional moves to complete your goals! Use your time wisely - there are several journeys you can take to collect knowledge, experience, and prestige. Once you have completed your turn, you’ll choose one of the three types of cards to draw and add to your tableau giving you more ways to combo and complete goals! Completing exploration cards involves traversing trails through the forest and collecting bonuses by surrounding them via a spatial puzzle that extends as you add cards to your tableau. Completing pantry cards involves storing goods in jars and unlocking bonuses as you complete rows and columns within your shelves. Completing gift-giving cards involves collecting specific ingredients in the exact quantities to produce gifts, providing you with immediate and end-game scoring bonuses! There are over 90 unique exploration, pantry, and gift-giving cards to collect, so you will have a completely unique foraging journey each and every time you play! 6 unique double-sided goal cards and 27 unique journey tiles also encourage player interaction and strategic thinking throughout the game. Forage is a unique roll-and-write game where you write on cards in an ever-changing tableau. As the game progresses, your options increase and your scoring conditions change. It is easy to learn, but challenging for everyone!

Yo, Cardboard Cousins, I finally sat down to see if the magic of The Fox in the Forest Duet lives up to the reputation. Working together through these woods is a whole different vibe than what I usually bring to the table. I really appreciate how @renegade_game_studios crafted a system where communication must be subtle yet precise. The way the movement mechanics work kept me guessing because every card played feels like a high-stakes conversation. I’ll be honest, navigating that board without talking too much is a real test of how well you actually know your partner. The artwork is beautiful and calming, but don't let those visuals fool you because the logic required is pretty sharp. We definitely hit a few bumps in the road during our first session, but figuring out the rhythm of the deck is the real draw here. If you’re looking for a smooth experience that rewards a deep connection with your teammate, you definitely need to keep this one on your radar. #boardgames #tabletopgames #gamenight #thefoxintheforestduet #cardboardcousins #renegadegamestudios #bgg #boardgamegeek #strategygames #gamingcommunity #tabletop #boardgamers #analoggames #playmoregames #cooperativegames
