For over an hour my family did this exact thing over and over, and you know what, when we were done all the kids asked when we could do it again. One of our favorite ways to serve as a family is to go to @fmsc_org We live a few hours away from the nearest location but when we are in the area we love to take time to help package meals that are sent all over the world. You can sign up online. Kids must be over 5 and supervised by an adult. You can go for birthdays, holidays, as a church group, women's group, homeschool group.... Feed My Starving Children is a Christian organization and prays over all their packages before shipping them out. I recently spoke with a former missionary who said she has been overseas at a receiving station and can verify that this is a great group to support. Be a family that serves together! The 630 Volleyball Leadership Academy attended Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) to make a positive impact by packaging meals for malnourished children worldwide. Through this hands-on volunteer experience, the academy’s athletes not only supported FMSC’s mission to fight hunger but also strengthened their own leadership skills. By working as a team to pack meals, they learned the importance of collaboration, service, and empathy, reinforcing the values central to both their athletic and personal growth. New Year, Same Service Tradition! Each year, our family kicks off the new year with a day of service. This year, we were thrilled to take it to the next level by inviting our kids’ sports teams to join us as we volunteered at @fmsc_org in Schaumburg. The turnout was incredible! Over 50 people came together to make an impact! Together, we packed 215 boxes, totaling 46,440 meals for children in need around the #world. It was an amazing experience to start the year by giving back and sharing this fulfilling moment with our sport’s family. Being a blessing to others is one of life’s greatest joys, and we encourage everyone to search out opportunities like Feed My Starving Children or similar organizations in your area. 💚 Feed My Starving Children 💙 Guadalupe & Kyrene in Tempe 🫶🏼 If you are looking for an extra way to help volunteer, FMSC is an amazing well ran food aid packing facility. They are able to run this non profit by others donating their money and time! Their mission is to provide nutrition meals for hungry children around the world! 🛜 To register, one person “leader” signs up your entire group on their website. There are time slots for everyday except Sundays and you have to register in advance as the sessions often fill up. All volunteers must be 5 yrs older and not sick within the last 24 hours. There are various ways to help during your volunteer time, packing, sealing, weighing bags, moving boxes, building boxes, labeling bags. *️⃣ We had so much fun spending our time here and we’re so happy with our experience! Our kids really enjoyed it and would love to come back soon!
