Power complex from block 1 of one of my programs I am writing! This power complex focuses on absorbing high impact forces and landing mechanics with the depth drops and building up neuromuscular coordination with the high hurdle jumps. Overall goal is to produce max force at quick speeds! #plyometricstraining #plyometrics #strength #athletedevelopment #strengthandconditioningcoach
You are lifting heavy in the gym, but in activities like pickleball, tennis and basketball how quickly you can call upon that strength is key. I use the @hawkindynamics force plates to measure rate of force development along with symmetry between side and jump height just to name a few metrics it can measure. This truly allows me to look under the hood of my athletes. Many people are working on strength in the gym with heavy weights. It is also important to add in plyometric activities such as jumps to improve the rate of force development. You can’t jump slow!
📈 REAL. MEASUREABLE. RESULTS. 🎯 At Quantum Movement, performance starts with one priority: movement quality. Before we chase numbers in the weight room, we assess how you actually move including: how you create force, how you absorb it, and how well you control it during dynamic movement. Our force plate testing gives us clear, reliable insight into: ⚡ How explosively you produce force 🦵 How efficiently you decelerate and land ⚖️ Side-to-side differences 📈 How your body is adapting to training This isn’t about chasing numbers, it is about measuring your physical capacity and identifying areas to improve to provide actionable insight into your unique individual needs. This means training that matches exactly what you need to remove the guesswork and get results FASTER!! These assessments support: 🏆 Performance Enhancement 🚨 Injury Prevention 🥵 Fatigue Monitoring 🤕 Return to Sport Protocols We combine evidence-based testing with a deep focus on biomechanics to build elite movement from the ground up. ▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪ If you’re an athlete ready to train with purpose, a parent who wants real insight, or a coach looking to elevate your team or club program 🤳🏼 DM us “MOVE” or click the link in bio to schedule your force plate assessment. ▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪ #StrengthCoach #DMVPersonalTrainer #PerformanceTraining #AthleteDevelopment #SportsPerformance
Not every athlete should train the same. At Peak Kinetic, we work with middle & high school athletes who actually want development — more speed, more power, more confidence on the field. WHO PKP IS FOR: ✔ Athletes serious about getting faster & stronger ✔ Any Sport that requires the athlete to move efficiently and with power ✔ Athletes ready to train with purpose WHO PKP IS NOT FOR: ❌ Random workouts ❌ One-size-fits-all programs ❌ Just “getting a sweat in” Every athlete starts with an assessment so we know exactly what they need. If standing out on game tape matters to you — start there. 👉 Book your athlete assessment today!
Simply put - the capacity to withstand tons of sudden force and reflexively swing your legs underneath you trumps the ability to perform a movement that is 10x more removed from a real world (threat inducing) scenario If we’re talking purely GPP and capacity driven - attribute centric training then effective strength training is still an asset to being functional That’s not what I’m referring to though The reality is most people existing under the functional training umbrella employ modalities that strip all meaningful inputs from the training process What’s left is a superficial representation of open world movement that mimics with stunning imprecision the self organizing nature of movement You can’t mimic it but you can train attributes found within it
🚀 Ready to level up? At NPWR, we’re data-driven. We assess what matters for your sport so we can track progress and build a real plan. Vertical • Speed • Agility • Power Baseline first. Progress next. 📊 📲 DM us to book
Big upgrade at Impact. We just added Hawkins Force Plates along with other Hawkins performance tech to better measure what actually matters in training. Power output. Strength. Imbalances. Fatigue. This kind of data helps us train smarter, track progress, and give our athletes real feedback on how their bodies are performing. The same level of testing used in pro and collegiate sports… now part of the training experience here at Impact Sports Performance
🚀 Beyond Power just made traveling with testing equipment even easier. The new Fixed Rack Mount Mini is compact, innovative, and takes seconds to set up. Perfect for coaches who move between facilities like I do. 💪 Simple setup, locked in, ready to test. #BeyondPower #VelocityBasedTraining #SportsTechnology #StrengthCoach #AthleteTesting
Contrast Training !! Utilizes post-activation potentiation (PAP), where the heavy lift increases neuromuscular activation, allowing the subsequent explosive movement to be performed with higher force and speed All athletes need to be adding this technique into their training regimen!
Before an athlete reaches…… a task-specific coordination threshold, accuracy demands impose an error-avoidance cost that limits force and velocity expression in complex lifts. Once that threshold is met, simpler and more stable exercises allow greater output expression by removing accuracy constraints, while complex movements shift to a maintenance or supporting role rather than being primary output drivers. In other words you can’t expect the same adaptation from a single leg squat that you can from leg press in a athlete with a low training age. Nothing is sport specific about valuing stability, coordination, and accuracy, over force production.
Jump volume is up at least 25% just from learning this tech… I might need to chill out a bit. 😂 Loving these force plates from @hawkindynamics 📈 Objective data. Better programming. Hopefully GREAT results. Excited to use this to optimize training for my athletes, adults, and teams. 1% Better Daily ✝️5️⃣
Max Velocity isn’t built at max velocity. It’s built in the prep. Hip lock integrity. Front-side exchange. Projection control. Rhythmic stiffness. We layer velocity after positions are stable. Otherwise you’re just rehearsing compensation at higher speeds. Govern the shape. Then earn the speed.
