🌱DIY FRIDAY: Because future me deserves to know what the hell I planted🌱 Spring prep is officially ON…seed sowing, garden prep & a little clay therapy thrown in for good measure. Today’s project? A job lot of air-dry clay plant markers that are not only practical…but actually cute too I usually go white, but terracotta was giving that English garden vibe. Affordable, easy to work with & dangerously addictive, I ended up making enough markers for everything i’m growing this year…plus a few honest ones like “No idea” “Weeds” & “Something”😂 👇🏻SAVE this for later & try it this weekend! How to make them: 🪴Roll out clay to 4mm (use dowels either side for even thickness) 🪴Cut rectangles 15cm x 2cm & cut a point at the end 🪴Smooth edges with water 🪴Press ink-pad letters gently into clay 🪴Leave to dry flat for a few days 🪴Paint just over the lettering (front + back) 🪴Add a watered-down darker shade to highlight letters 🪴Seal with resin (follow box instructions) 🪴Cure for 72hrs 🪴Pop into pots + seed trays Are you getting garden-ready too? Cardboard Loom Woven Chick Purse 🐤 Using cardboard to create a hand woven chick purse for spring! I cut notches around the top and bottom of a piece of cardboard, then wrapped yarn around the tabs of the cardboard. Once you are done weaving you can pull the yarn off the loom and you have a chick shaped cloth. I sewed on a felt wing (that doubles as a little pocket!), felt beak, and a button eye. I sewed two together using a blanket stitch and used ribbon as the purse handle! I'm using Fluffy Chenille yarn by Loops & Threads in the color Pineapple Slice, available at @michaelsstores 😊 #kidcraft #easycraft #cardboardcraft #diygift
