We made our TV frame with wood trim from @homedepot, but one of my top questions is "How did you attach it?"
We initially used Velcro command strips but they wore down over time and I noticed it getting loose.
This elastic hack keeps it on nice and snug, and to answer the next most FAQ - no, it doesn't block the sensor at all. ❤️
Let me know what other questions you have and just comment if you'd like the exact links for what I used!
I know in the interior design world having a TV over your fireplace is a no, but it's not a true living room to me without movie nights! And I love the way we can disguise it as art when not in use. 🖼️

I cannot believe this was this easy… mainly because my husband set up the easel for me 👸😇 but he said it didn’t take long at all either.
And now? Our necks are free.
(They already are barely necking at 30.)
No more craning up at a TV above the tall mantel. No more arranging the entire room around a console table just to make the TV make sense.
This Meeden art easel has the prettiest wood tone and is genuinely sturdy enough to hold our 55” TV without looking like office equipment. And if we want to roll it in front of the fireplace? We can. Because it has wheels. And we all know wheels are the pockets of furniture.
We did get the Hisense Canvas TV, but I think even a thicker TV would work on this. I love the grandeur it adds! It feels intentional instead of like a floating black box haunting the living room. Art during the day and Bridgerton at night 👩🍳💋 Just how I like it!
I’ll probably build a cooler frame for it eventually, but for now I’m obsessed. But for now, it absolutely hides my ugly sh*t ☺️
