I wanna say thank you 🙏🏾 to my favorite group @deadprez @m1deadprezrbg @stic ♥️🖤💚 Who Isn’t just musicians but also teachers of facts. A force who reshaped how people thought, especially in the music industry and conscious community. They found purpose beyond fame — they found truth, identity, and a higher message to carry in their lyrics to help free and liberate the minds of our people. Their music sparked a movement, influencing not just the beats and rhymes of that generation, but mind, bodies and souls. My Spirit found comfort in their music after my dad got locked up reminding me of how i was raised and not to slip into the spell of the matrix. And looking at this picture of me with these two dynamic brothers and the colors of our clothes that we have chosen to wear, I am reminded of our precious African traditions and spiritual systems. Of which has always been characterize by the importance of balance between men and women and the importance of both complementary forces in nature.. It is this dynamic that has been expressed in different groups of our people throughout Africa, the theme known as the cosmic twins. In Yoruba land it is expressed as Obatala (white light, masculine, expansion, etc) and ODU(feminine, black nothingness cosmic whom, Contraction) Among the Fon people it is called Mau Lisa. These brothers exemplify the principle of expansion in a healthy way and our protective of black women, children, and the community at large.
