First French lesson with Heather, all the way from Houston 🇺🇸🇫🇷 welcome to French class in Paris ✨ Today was Heather’s very first French lesson, joining me online from Houston, and she is starting from scratch. We began with one of the most useful things when learning a new language: introducing yourself. 👉 Bonjour, je m’appelle Heather. 👉 Je suis américaine. 👉 J’habite à Houston… Then we learned a very useful question : « Comment on dit… ? » = How do you say…? « Pouvez-vous répéter ? » = can you repeat And because Heather also speaks Spanish, we had a little fun comparing the two languages along the way! We then played a « C’est vrai ou c’est faux ? » game, which allowed us to practise affirmative and negative sentences. The goal is to start speaking from the very first lesson, even with simple words and structures, and gradually build confidence. One hour, lots of new vocabulary, plenty of interaction… and somehow, the time just flew by! Bienvenue Heather ! 🇫🇷 #frenchteacher #learnfrench #learnfrenchonline #frenchlesson #frenchclassinparis
POV: Your French teacher carefully corrects your pronunciation, gives you another chance, and you still manage to pronounce the exact same word wrong 😭😂🇫🇷 You’re trying your best, but French pronunciation has decided that understanding the word is not enough—you also have to survive saying it out loud. My biggest mistake was thinking saying “bonjour” to a French person would be simple. 😭🇫🇷 Suddenly you’re expected to pronounce it perfectly, use the right accent, and somehow continue the conversation in French. 😂 If you’re learning French, you already know that one innocent “bonjour” can turn into an unexpected French speaking test real quick. Just smile, stay confident, and hope your vocabulary remembers what you studied! 🥲 French learner, French students, learn French, learning French, French for beginners, French lessons, French course, French classes, French speaking, speak French, French conversation, French pronunciation, French vocabulary, French grammar, French practice, French speaking practice, French beginner, beginner French, French learner meme, French student meme, French learning meme, French language meme, French meme, French memes, French humor, language learning meme, language learner, language learning, French struggles, French mistakes, speaking French, French conversation practice, improve French, study French, learn French online, French class, French education, French language learning, relatable French, French student struggles, language struggle, pronunciation struggle, French vocabulary practice, French grammar practice, French reels, French learning reels, study French, French culture, French people, everyday French, French phrases, French words, bonjour, French basics

On the road to being trilingual 😍🇩🇴🇫🇷🇺🇸 If you’re new here, hi! 👋🏽 My name is Michelle. I was born and raised in the Bronx, and for the last six years, I’ve been living nomadically and experiencing life in different countries around the world. Three years ago, I made the move to Europe and became a legal resident and now I spend a month in Paris every quarter specifically to study French. 🇫🇷🥐 So come to French class with me! 📚 French teacher: @parolerie ♥️ And if you’re wondering how I’m living legally in Europe, I’ll show you the exact process I followed. Comment “LUX” and I’ll send you the free resources to learn how you can do it too. ✈️🌍

What ‘elegant’ French sounds like 👀 You learned that 🇫🇷 je ne sais pas means “I don’t know” but you’ll almost never hear it like that (💡 a quick grammar note → French negation is formed with the subject + ne + verb + pas). This is grammatically correct, but in spoken French, we usually drop the “ne” → je sais pas (sometimes even j’sais pas or chaipa). If you want to still sound formal and natural, the “ne” doesn’t fully disappear, it just softens → je’n sais pas. That subtle n’ is what’s left of ne, it lightly links to the verb and makes you sound smoother to the French ear ✨ 🗣 Our Hello French Group Classes are back for a new cycle starting the week of May 11, and this time we’ve opened more levels so it’s easier to find the right fit! This French Verb Should Not Exist in a Classroom. You think French class is "bonjour, merci"? This teacher just taught the most Brazilian verb in French. Whiteboard. Blue wall. Handwritten: SE FOUTRE JE ME FOUS TU TE FOUS IL SE FOUT ELLE SE FOUT ON SE FOUT NOUS NOUS FOUTONS VOUS VOUS FOUTEZ ILS SE FOUTENT ELLES SE FOUTENT Teacher — curly blonde, grey top, jeans, platform heels — holding a marker like a microphone, shouting: "Verbe sait foutre! Je me fous, tu te fous, il se fout..." Students off-camera screaming the conjugation back, laughing, 100% energy. Sticker on screen: "Le Brésil se fout 😂🇧🇷" Translation? SE FOUTRE = I don't give a damn. And Brazil made it an anthem. No propellers. No explanation. Just a verb maintaining perfect position between two cultures and then disappearing behind laughter while the whole class keeps escorting it. One verb. All of Brazil's mood in one conjugation. Would you use it — Je m'en fous or Je me fous? What do you see? Comment below. Credits: French teacher viral class - verb Se Foutre conjugation - Le Brésil se fout trend - Brazil x French.
