A little something in honor of pride month that applies every day of every month of every year…… Trans people are people first. We didn’t choose to be trans, it’s not our “lifestyle,” it’s just one of many identifiers that just happens to make us who we are. I don’t speak for all trans people, but I CAN say with confidence that: We aren’t here to “convert” you and make you trans. We wouldn’t want to and couldn’t even if we did. Whether or not any one of us is religious, we aren’t going against G/d or any deity, nor are you anyone to say he didn’t make us this way, give us this vision of who we really are (even if transitioning is challenging - G/d gives challenges to all). Our worth isn’t defined by how far in our transition we are, even if our safety and health does depend on it. We don’t expect everyone to understand who we are, how we feel. We just demand respect as human beings and access to the medical care which helps us change what we can’t ourselves - just like any other human being. ❤️ is ❤️ so drop a ❤️! 💾 for a reminder that we are all human!
