Quarto posto, il migliore del dopoguerra. L’anno seguente, la Coppa Uefa. Skuhravy guida l’attacco insieme ad 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮. Cadono Real Oviedo, Dinamo Bucarest, Steaua. E poi il Liverpool, battuto anche ad Anfield: prima italiana della storia a riuscirci. Fermati in semifinale dall’Ajax che poi divenne campione. Ma quella squadra ha lasciato un segno che il tempo non ha cancellato. Due dei suoi protagonisti oggi non ci sono più. 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗶, il capitano silenzioso, se n’è andato nel 2002, portato via dalla SLA: il Genoa ha ritirato la sua maglia numero 6, e la Nord canta ancora “c’è solo un capitano”. 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗶 ci ha lasciati poco meno di due mesi fa, a 91 anni: un’ultima standing ovation per lo “Schopenhauer della Bovisa”.
