No audio needed for such a perfect day yesterday. The original is too good! 😭🥺🎉🥰 Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude for our closing celebration class yesterday led by some of our most amazing staff members that are SO deeply rooted to the studio and community. 🌞 The whole class was focused on how when one door closes another opens and the journey from here on out will support our community’s growth in so many different ways. We cannot wait to continue doing this transformative practice of yoga with you all out in Hunterdon County. 🌿🌱We love you so much!!

The service industry takes a toll on your body after 26 years or so 😑😑 The off season in the #OBX is a time for us locals to re-set and rejuvenate before the chaos of 13 hour work days 5-9 days a week reclaim our lives 😜❤️ I’m so thankful for my yoga practice and the time to pour back into myself after constantly pouring into my business, kids, second job, etc, etc. It has SAVED my body and this mind of mine that never shuts off ❤️🧘‍♀️❤️ Thank you mary_taylor92 ❤️❤️ If you’re visiting #hatterasisland this summer, make sure you sign up for a class or book a private!! Check out the retreat she has going on Nov 6th-8th right here in Hatteras Village!! Our little studio turns one! 🎉🎂🥳 On this day last year, we held our first class at Coast Yoga + Movement. I wish we had more process videos and “before” photos of the space (you wouldn’t believe the paint on the walls or the state of the gray linoleum flooring that was there before!) We spent months pouring our energy into creating a beautiful space. It took our blood, sweat, and tears, help from our boys, a lot of help from our friend Gil, and faith in the universe. The first photo in this reel was taken the night before we opened. We had no idea what was ahead of us! We absolutely love our studio and we’re truly fulfilled by sharing it with our community 🌊☀️ THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has supported this dream of ours. There is still so much more we have planned for our little studio and we’re deeply grateful that we get to grow alongside our community. Thank you for practicing with us, spreading the word, and allowing us to be of service. We feel incredibly thankful for our dedicated, compassionate, skilled, and joyful instructors who make our studio the place of healing that it is. We couldn’t do this without you! We love and appreciate you so much 🙏🏻 We look forward to many more years to come. Thank you thank you thank you 🤍
This video is from Sept 2020 (captioned ‘has-been in action’, of course). I had just gotten the keys for @themovement.yoga and I was so happy. The next year was a huge lesson is perseverance and self-belief. Starting a business from scratch is one of the hardest but most rewarding things I’ve done. Pushing forward when you feel the world is telling you to stop is harder than any corporate job I had. But it’s also brought me immense pride. Seeing what the studio has become warms my heart. My only goal was to create from a place of love and see what happens. Well, what happened is better than I dreamed. A place of top yoga teachers, laugher, learning, growing and community. And… a place that no longer needs me at the helm. I’m stepping into my next adventure and passing the torch to the dream team of @awaytolivewell and @kateandersonyoga (who’s been my amazing partner-in-crime this past year). I’ll still teach a few classes and run retreats (come to one! @wildthing_retreats), but it’s time I let myself do what I actually want to do in life instead of worrying about letting people down, and sacrificing my own goals to keep everyone happy. Because at some point, I have to matter, right? That’s hard for me to believe, but I’m trying to practice what I preach. So, here are my parting ‘small business owner’ words of advice: 1. Shop local. Support small businesses. ALWAYS. 2. Hire entrepreneurs. Their CVs might not look traditional, but they have hustle, conviction, resourcefulness, and the ability to get shit done. 3. If you have an idea, go for it. There’s no one who will make it happen for you, but you can make it happen yourself. You really can. I think it’s ok to change directions. I could stay the course; it’s comfortable. But I’ve realized I enjoy building/creating things more than running them. I’m not doing anyone any favours by staying the course when I know I’m not using my abilities as I should. I’ve had to be ‘Bull in China Shop’ when I’m naturally ‘Fairy in Clouds.’ 😂 Thank you to everyone who has supported me and the studio. It has meant the world to me. ❤️ Now hand me my fairy wings. 😊
Not an easy post to write…🥹😣✨ After more than 5 years, Rooflow Yoga Studio is closing its doors. This place wasn’t just a studio to me. It was my safe space, my teacher, my therapy, and honestly a whole chapter of my life. This place held so many versions of me. I grew up here more than anywhere else. Thank you to the teachers who stood with me in the hard days, every teacher who ever taught a class, and every student who respected the space and treated it like their home.🤗 And a special thank you to the people who stood beside me in the very beginning — when I had no budget, just an idea and a lot of hope. The ones who helped me paint the walls, build the brand, renovate the space, sharing the posts, and kept encouraging me when this was only a dream.💙💙 This is not the end. Sometimes we don’t understand the plan until later… but I trust God’s plan, always.🙏🏼 For now, my focus will shift more into retreats and new experiences — and I know Rooflow will continue in another form, somewhere, somehow. We’re having a farewell gathering on Thursday 26th from 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm (after iftar). If you are planning to come, please send me a message on Instagram or WhatsApp 🤍 And if you remember this place in your prayers… that would mean a lot.🙏🏼✨
A little catch-up to explain the reason behind this big Instagram “cleaning” I’ve started (and not finished yet 🤯😅 — it will take some time 💪)… It all began with doubts around music licensing rights and what I could or couldn’t use. But in the end, the process took on a whole new dimension — and I’m truly grateful I chose to take it as an opportunity to refresh, reset, and refocus the way I use social media. My intention is to keep this space meaningful and useful for you — a place where you can feel the wonderful vibes of my studio, get to know my way of teaching yoga, and connect with me both as a teacher and as a person. Of course, your follows, likes, and support mean a lot — they really help my work reach more people. But what makes me happiest, and what truly matters to me, is welcoming you at Le Studio… seeing you on the mat, practicing regularly, learning and growing together. That’s why I do this. And it’s also what makes my yoga business sustainable — not posts, likes, or follower numbers, but real people investing in themselves through drop-in classes, class packs, and memberships. I hope to see you very soon on the mat 🤍
