We all know Bridge Street is the hotspot right now…
but this area is steps from the arena (and the future amphitheater).
So what’s missing?
What would actually work in these empty spaces?

One block completely rebooted Grand Rapids nightlife.
• The B.O.B. opened in 1996 as a stacked nightlife anchor
• 20 Monroe Live launched in 2017 for national touring acts
• Two venues created a diversified entertainment across from Van Andel Arena, with proximity to The Intersection and Pyramid Scheme
When one corridor dominates nightlife, what happens to the rest of downtown?

After 17 years of planning, construction will begin this summer to remove four dams from the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids, restoring the natural rapids between Bridge Street and Fulton. The project will add more than 100 habitat boulders to improve fish movement, aquatic life, and create safer recreational access for kayaking, tubing, fishing, and more.
The nearly $26 million Lower Grand River restoration project focuses on bringing the river back to a more natural state while making it safer and more usable for the community. This could completely change how people experience the Grand River downtown.

Take a fun spring getaway to Grand Rapids, Michigan!

1904 wasn’t the only flood. It was the first one that hit Grand Rapids at scale.
• The city was growing fast along the river
• Industry and housing were concentrated in flood zones
• The damage forced a shift in how the city builds
Flooding wasn’t new. Exposure was.
Are today’s riverfront projects fully accounting for that risk, or are we getting more comfortable building along it?

When you look into Grand Rapids information is outdated because the town is growing so quickly. Like COVID hit, and town blew up.
⭐️ That’s why you should follow my account because I show you all the new & exciting things happening in Grand Rapids, MN.
If you’re thinking about moving to GR-here’s what life is like as a dad with 3 kids under 11
👉🏼 We live a slow life
👉🏼 Evenings are spent on the boat, in a deer stand, skating on the outdoor rink, biking at Tioga or just building forts and looking for places to build bike jumps.
👉🏼 On the weekends we do random things without a plan. Because around here you don’t have to worry about traffic or lines. You just show up.
👉🏼 Grand Rapid’s community events are some of my favorite days of the year such as the 4th of July celebration on Pokegama Lake, Festival Rialto watching Wild Horses play, Soccer Camps, Harvesting our own Christmas tree on public lands, and endless boat in concerts in the summer.
👉🏼 Winters are my favorite because I love teaching my kids how to build forts, catch walleyes on the ice, fat bike and cut s fresh snow shoe trail through the woods.
So is Grand Rapids right for everyone?
Absolutely not, but it’s been just what my young family needed.
