The next great frontier isn't far away. It's right at our borders. 🌿 For too long, the climate conversation has been about loss. COWA is rewriting that story. Through the Green Borders Sustainability Initiative (CGBSI), the women of COWA are turning Nigeria's border towns into thriving hubs of green enterprise, sustainable energy infrastructure, and community wealth — one deliberate action at a time. 50,000 trees planted. Women and youth equipped with tools to build and lead. Dignified livelihoods created through recycling, eco-enterprises, and climate-smart agriculture. This is what grassroots climate leadership looks like. This is what it means to secure our environment and our future. Protecting our environment is the new border security. 🇳🇬 The frontier is here. And the women of COWA are leading the way. 🔗 Tap the link in bio to learn more and support the movement. #GreenBorders #CGBSI #WomenLeadingChange #ClimateActionAfrica

Today, I paid a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Olumide E. Aletan. Our discussion was both engaging and productive, as we exchanged valuable insights on the role of youth and community involvement in building a crime-free society. I strongly believe that sustainable security goes beyond enforcement , it requires active participation, awareness, and empowerment at the grassroots level. We explored practical ways to strengthen collaboration between institutions and security agencies, particularly in engaging young people positively and promoting community responsibility. I appreciate the Commandant for the warm reception and the impactful conversation. Together, we can foster safer communities and create opportunities that guide our youth toward purpose and progress. #StillRising Oladele John Nihi
