HOW TO PERFECTLY GRILL RIBEYE! My husband is not much of a cook, but he has mastered how to perfect cook ribeye steak. Instructions below. Note: these steaks weighed in at about 1.25 lbs and were approx 1.5 inch thick. Thickness matters more than the weight. #grilltips #steakrecipe #ribeye 1. Let 1.5 inch (this matters more than the weight) steaks come to room temp 2. Preheat grill to high 3. Coat steak in olive oil and generously season with salt & a bit of pepper 4. Grill steak on high for 4 minutes, lid closed. 5. Flip steak and move to a new hot spot to ensure a proper sear. Close grill, lower temp to medium and let cook for 6 minutes more. 6. Let rest for ten minutes before serving and finish with flaky salt.
Do this at the start of every grilling season👌 👏Place your grill in a safe spot. Make sure that the grill is at least 5-10 feet away from any structure or even bushes while in use. Fire safety is key! 👏 check for propane leaks with the soapy water test: Brush soapy water along the line and connections, then turn on the gas. If you see bubbles while the gas is running, it’s a sign you need to tighten your connections or replace the line entirely.  👏 get your grilling tools together and ditch your grill brush which can leave metal bristles in your food and God forbid send you to the hospital. 👏Don’t put yourself at risk with hungry family members by running out of propane right before you are ready to kick off your grilling season. Do use the warm water test.  Pour warm water down the side of the propane tank.  At the point where the water doesn’t make the tank warm - is the level where you still have propane. #grillingseason #grilltips
đŸ„© The #1 grill mistake? Cutting in too soon. ✹ Pro tip: Let your steak rest for 5 minutes after grilling — the juices settle back in, locking in flavor and tenderness. Who else has been guilty of slicing too early? 👀 #GrillTips #JuicySteak #FarmFreshEats #MeridianFarmMarket
That wire grill brush could land you in the ER. Those tiny metal bristles can break off, stick to your food, and end up in your throat or intestines. Skip the risk and clean your grill with a coil brush, grill stone, or even half an onion instead. Your burgers will taste just as good without the side of surgery. #grilltips #erdoctor #bbqtips #summercooking

đŸ”„ A grill is one of those outta-sight-outta-mind things when it comes to cleaning, but it’s important to give it a scrub-down every now and then. Conventional degreasers are full of toxic chemicals that will inevitably make their way onto your food. And there’s simply no need for them! đŸ§œ To clean your grill: 1. Spray All-Purpose liberally and let sit for 5-30 minutes to emulsify soot and oil. 2. Using a stiff-bristle brush dipped in water, scrub briskly. 3. Rinse clean! You can stop there, but we like filling two bowls with water and adding a little concentrate to one. Using an old rag, wipe the grill and rinse in the water bowl, then dip in the bowl with Branch Basics concentrate and wipe the grill again. Huge difference! ✹ Use All-Purpose to spray and wipe the exterior and voila! All ready for those greasy burgers and ’dogs! 🍔🌭
I smoked some chicken
but is it supposed to be this pink? Today I fired up the @weberuk Master-Touch for some indirect cooking—slapped on two seasoned spatchcock chickens and held the temp around 180°C. Tossed in some wood chips for that smoky depth, and once the birds hit 75°C internally, I drizzled them with maple syrup and let them rest before slicing. And yep, they were pink. But here’s the science: when chicken is smoked, nitrogen dioxide in the wood smoke reacts with myoglobin in the meat, forming nitrosomyoglobin—a stable pink compound. That’s not raw, that’s smoky perfection. #BBQScience #SmokedChicken #WeberGrill #BBQLovers #GrillTips #FoodieFacts #weber
