There are moments that no photo or video can truly capture, and this was one of them.
I stood still for a while, listening to nothing but the powerful sound of the waterfall, feeling the cool breeze on my skin, and taking in a view that seemed almost unreal. Then, as if nature wanted to make the moment even more special, a rainbow appeared.
No background music. No distractions. Just the raw beauty of nature doing what it does best.
In a world that moves so fast, this was a gentle reminder to slow down, be present, and appreciate the simple wonders around us.

J’ai tellement manifesté cet arc-en-ciel 🌈
Il pleuvait juste avant qu’on arrive puis un rayon de soleil est apparu, et j’ai aussitôt pensé que cet endroit serait encore plus magique avec un arc en ciel ✨. Je l’ai imaginé, je l’ai demandé … et après 15 minutes de marche autour de ces chutes, il est apparu! 🤩🤩🤩
Et au bout de 10/15 min, pouf il a disparu.

……. & they’re CRAZY!!!! Our honest review of these stops along the Golden Circle!
And just to be clear, these are just our opinions! There’s so much to see in Iceland, we hope our thoughts/logistics help you decide what you want to see a little better! 🤍
1️⃣ Þingvellir National Park - Þingvellir is one of the most popular/iconic stops on the Golden Circle and for good reason! The geography of this national park is created by the divide between the North-American and Eurasian continental plates. You can walk, or even go snorkeling between these 2 continents!
Our Experience: We’re happy we stopped because the area is so special and significant! Is it the most beautiful place in Iceland? No…. Are there swarms of people?… Yes…. But, if you can get past those two things and see how special a place it is, it’s worth it! (We spent 1.5 hours here, probably could spend only 30-45 if you just want to walk between the tectonic plates).
2️⃣ Brúarfoss - Brúarfoss is known as the bluest waterfall in Iceland. The water is truly the color of Gatorade!
Our Experience: This was our favorite Golden Circle stop. You can park about 5 mins away and walk to falls (paid parking), or park in a free lot and hike 4.4 miles (out and back) to the falls. We hiked and loved the journey of it. You hike along the gorgeous blue river the whole time and are spoiled with 2 more waterfalls along the way. (Plan to spend 2 - 2.5 hours).
3️⃣ Geysir Geothermal Area: This area started forming 1150 CE and is one of the most popular Geothermal areas in Iceland!
Our Experience: We stopped because we felt like we might as well. This area is directly off the Ring Road and has a free restroom and amazing cafe/shop (paid parking). It felt VERY touristy. We loved seeing Strokkur Geysir erupt (it erupts every 5-10 minutes), but only spent about 45 minutes there because we planned other geothermal stops along our route that were way less crowded!
4️⃣ Gullfoss - A huge, two tiered waterfall that leads into a gorgeous canyon! The parking is FREE!
