𝘚𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘭 “He knows my mind and I know his” Their relationship really is, for me, like two sides of the same coin. They are both powerful, both seeking to reshape Middle-earth in their own way. So Galadriel and Sauron are mirrors of each other, shaped by war, and an unrelenting need to shape the world. What makes it even more compelling is that Sauron sees himself in Galadriel. He recognizes her potential to fall just as he once did, and in a twisted way, he offers her a place beside him. Galadriel’s temptation by Sauron is not just manipulation, and I have my own interpretation of it, because the boat could be a symbol for the hesitation she was experiencing, a precarious boat. I believe Sauron wanted not only to rule, but also a partner, someone so similar to him, and yet opposite in some ways... someone who understands the weight of leadership as he does. It’s an acknowledgment that she, of all people, could understand the weight he carries. He doesn’t ask her to submit. Indeed, he asks her to rule with him. There is a chemistry between them that goes beyond attraction, because it is about recognition. He would have received that touch of light that she lacked and she herself admits that “sometimes to find the light, we must first touch the darkness”. What truly sets Galadriel and Sauron apart is not just their goals, but how they choose to achieve them. So the fundamental difference between them is choice. Sauron believes in domination as the only path to peace. He sees the chaos and suffering of Middle-earth and decides that the only way to fix it is through control, his control. Galadriel, on the other hand, refuses to take the path of control, no matter how tempting it is. She realizes that ruling with Sauron would mean ruling like Sauron, and she is not willing to do so. There’s something tragic in the way he looks at her, in the way he seems almost... disappointed when she rejects him. Deep down he truly believed that she could be at his side and in his own way he wanted her not just as a tool, but as a partner. Sc: @skywaik3rscenepacks

Here's the last Lord of the Rings I've had the pleasure to paint for one of my wonderful clients. Grey Havens The Grey Havens, also known as Mithlond in Sindarin, is a beautiful elven city and harbor located on the Gulf of Lune in the far west of Middle-earth. It is one of the oldest Elven settlements and a vital symbolic location in J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium. The Havens are famous as the place from which many Elves (including Galadriel and Elrond) depart Middle-earth for the Undying Lands, Valinor, across the Sundering Seas. At the end of the Third Age, it is also the final point of departure for the Ring-bearers, Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, and eventually, the last journey of Gandalf. The city is overseen by Círdan the Shipwright, one of the oldest and wisest of the Elves. It is a place of peace, light, and farewell, marking the end of the Elves' presence in Middle-earth.
