Things to know before you go: 📍Luddam’s Ford Park (now known as Ludden’s Ford Park or Tucker Preserve) 243 Elm Street, Hanover MA 🥾 if you do the whole loop trail it is about 4 miles long. You will need to walk a short distance on Cross Street/State Street, and look for the trailhead that takes you back into the woods. 🅿️ there are 2 parking areas, both on Elm Street, one on either side of Indian Head River (you’ll see them easily when you arrive) 🚻 there are no restrooms, so plan accordingly (especially if you have little kids) 🐶 leashed dogs are welcome ☀️ there’s a large picnic and recreation area near the parking areas, with many picnic tables and open lawn space. 🛶 boating is allowed, just be careful to stay away from the dam. 🎣 NOTE: Due to mercury contamination from 19th and 20th century industries upstream, fish caught here may not be consumed. #luddamfordpark #indianheadriver #hanoverma #southshorema #familytrails #hikemassachusetts #alltrails

We just wrapped up April vacation week over here at Little Hands, which always feels like the perfect reset moment. After a busy week of play, I like to go through the playroom and swap out anything that’s been well loved and ready for a break. This time it was a lot of our vet and doctor play pieces, plus a refresh in our grocery area with newly sealed pantry items. I also added a new cop outfit to the floor and it’s already getting so much love. You’ll see in the video what I pulled off the floor too. Those medical and pet items get used and cleaned constantly, so they tend to cycle out more often than anything else. I do a full playroom refresh like this every few months so when you walk in, it always feels clean, safe, and a little bit new for your littles. I wish I could work this fast and steady in real time 🤣 . I’m finishing some petite scallop shell dishes for an upcoming fair December 4-5 in Hanover MA! I find that younger children were really drawn to these, so I want to make sure I have an ample amount! Many families attend art fairs and I think it’s important that children can enjoy their time there. Many handmade items are fragile and I hear them being told not to touch things. Besides these shells being small and lightweight, the resin inside the shell make these quite durable. . Of course these can be for anyone, any age! . The fair is hosted by Castleberry Fairs, a family owned business that produces juried arts and crafts fairs throughout New England since 1989! All of the fairs I’ve participated in truly feels like a celebration of the arts and handmade. .
