Another animatronics video! Haunted Mansion is one of those rides that are perfect in every way except for the placement of the hatbox ghost on the Disney world version of the ride like why would you do that that makes me so angry why would you put it in an area where we’re not supposed to be able to see the ghosts put it in its proper place anyway I love all versions of this ride #disney #disneyland #waltdisneyworld #disneyparks #hauntedmansion #audioanimatronics

Sculpting The Haunted Mansion’s Hatbox Ghost for a new Life-Size Replica! I built one of these in 2019, but sadly it was among the many works lost in our fire, so I’ve given myself permission to rebuild him in more accurate detail than ever before. And he may have company . . . ❤️ Stay tuned! His construction will be fully charted in an in-depth tutorial Episode on my Patreon! If you’d like to help support my artistic works and the rebuilding of my studio after our fire, be sure to check it out at the link in my Bio - there you can find my other long-form tutorial videos offering more spooky tips and tricks than I could ever fit in a Reel! #HauntedMansion #Disneyland #HatboxGhost #AtticBride #MadameLeota #HitchhikingGhosts #Props #Puppets #Animatronic #Ghost #Replica #Sculpting #Timelapse #GrimGrinningGhost #Disney #Spooky #ExtremeHalloween #Art #Artist #ArtistsOnPatreon

There’s something so satisfying about watching the Hatbox Ghost’s face jump from his body to his box. It’s creepy but sooooo cool, and I have to stop and give the shirt a few spins every time I see it! 🖤💜🩶 #disneytee #hauntedmansion #hatboxghost

Happy Halloween 👻 The Hatbox Ghost is part of the same family of illusions used in the Haunted Mansion ballroom scene, where transparent “ghosts” dance thanks to a classic Pepper’s Ghost reflection trick. You’ll even see versions of this effect in museums and exhibits around the world. For example, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum in Illinois uses the Pepper’s Ghost illusion in its “Ghosts of the Library” show, making figures appear and disappear right before your eyes. They call the technology, Holavision. ✨ Follow @magicalfamilies for more Fun Fact Fridays like this and have a fantastic Halloween! 🎃 🧡Your Disney Pal, Ashley @magicalfamilies #disneyland #disneyhalloween #hatboxghost #hauntedmansion #disneyfunfacts #wdw #magic #halloween

BLACK LIGHT MAGIC ✨ I don’t usually brag, but UV-reactive painting is one of the things I’m truly proud of. It’s a tricky craft with limited colors, so I often create my own pigments and techniques, brush and airbrush that look natural in daylight and glow beautifully under black light. My love for this started with Prague’s Black Theatre, and later Disney rides like Snow White and Peter Pan. Since then, I’ve used these methods on makeups, masks, props...like my Hatbox Ghost (2016) and the Magic Mirror. There’s something magical about art that transforms when the lights go out. 💡🖤

The Hatbox Ghost: equal parts spooky and iconic. The way his head fades into the hatbox still gives me chills—even when I know it’s coming. What do you think- iconic or spooky?
